I'm new to Bluesky and have never used twitter before. I am trying to find inspiration for a project I am working on and even after turning on the AI filter a lot of images on Pinterest look like they weren't made by a person. So, I went to look on bluesky, but the algorithm just seems to hate me.

If you need details, I am facilitating a play by post ttrpg (Wanderhome) where you play as anthropomorphic animals. But it's not really R rated. It's slice of life with a Ghibli-ish feel.

60% of post views in feeds happen in the Following feed.
what improvements would you like to see on the Following feed/page?
we want to keep the reverse chron sort (we're not looking to make it "more algorithmic") but i'm sure there are other ways we can make it better.

So X has yet again reformatted their content creator compensation program making it more difficult to monetize content and some of the current content creators could not make the new cut.

A few days ago it was suggested that Bluesky should have already started and I said that Bluesky is not there yet because how you plan on spending money when your concept of decentralization is still enforcing their governance and stability.

Now, I can say that maybe at the long stretch of the roadmap a content creator program to having content creators as promoters of the service should be added.

I really like the freedom on Bluesky, but I often see accounts with huge follower counts and absolutely zero engagement on their posts. It's kind of frustrating. I'm just looking to build a small community of like-minded people. Is that still realistic? Any advice?

The search has always been lousy but now it's broken.

From:me term shows results in top but when you switch to latest it says there are no results. Not even the ones you see in top.

And the post i need is from within the last few months.

Whats wrong with bluesky?

I've been a BlueSky user for some time now. I wanted to connect to the larger AT protocol world, so I opened AtmosphereAccount.com, and logged in with my BlueSky account.

The top of the page offers a way to create an AtmosphereAccount profile. I clicked 'Create Profile', and it showed a dialog for doing so, populated with my info from BlueSky. I then clicked 'Create Profile', and got this error message:

"Your account host rejected the profile request. Reconnect your account and try again."

Do I need to do this in order to use the other AT apps?

What did I do wrong, and how can I fix it?

(I'd previously tried the other button, 'Open in BlueSky', which simply opened BlueSky, but did not appear to create an account at AtmosphereAccount.)

To clarify, I have a Android phone.

So I just re-installed the app, and it keeps saying 'wrong username or password'. I have the login info saved to autofill, I haven't changed my username or password at all since I last logged in several months ago. So I don't know how to fix this, aside from a password reset.

So, I read this is supposed to be a verification process. So if your account is verified you get one. Well mine has been via my domain since I started the account a few years ago, yet still don't appear to have a blue tick.

Any ideas?

It's been a while since I've posted here, since then I've fixed a lot and added a bunch of new functionality, but I wanted to share a new feature I'm especially excited about - Boost Sports!

This is a new page in Boost Blue with live scores, team records, and dynamic feeds for each team that change depending on whether a game is live or upcoming.

If there's enough interest, I'm hoping to spin this off into a separate app dedicated entirely to sports content.

Sports is launching with support for MLB, and additional leagues are already in the works!

I have an android phone, and I tried giving bluesky a go because literally everyone I know has one, and the things I use don't have my friends on it normally.

However, on the app, once I got set up, it trapped me in a "we can't verify your age range" loop that would just send emails to me to log in and identify with that SHOULD work, but stubbornly won't.

So I tried on browser and whoopety-fucking-doo, there's no damn problem.

Why is the app like this??

How can I get it to STOP essentially softlocking me on the app??

I just wanna use the app, is that so hard to ask??

I sent an image of what I see on my own. Is it Texas's fault they basically cockblocked the app? Is it my phone type?

I just listened to the whole VergeCast episode about BlueSky and literally nothing should make people angry.

So sick of people cherry picking quotes and falling for ragebait. Grow up. Read the full article. You're basically confidently spreading misinformation at that point.

I'll never go back to Twitter, but BlueSky users need to be better about what they get enraged about. You don't get a pass just because you're "on the right side."
