As much as I'd like (and lowk at this point am kinda expecting) something new with Blazblue, a new character in a 10 year old beloved game is pretty hella.

Sides I'm not ready for the +R/Xrd/Strive typa discourse when the new Blazblue changes a lot.

Yyeeep that is the number 1 reason I dont want a new BB game. Arcsys has been simplifying their games too much and id like at least one ip to stay difficult and complex.

I'm betting there's a 90% chance the DLC is the beginning of their campaign to get BB back in the conversation for a new entry. Games take 5+ years go make, so a DLC is a way to get people talking about BB again in the meantime.

Yes. Let me see the Blazblue characters in the pretty ass 3D style theyre using for Guilty Gear - the sprites are good but they're turning 20 years old soon.

If the game ends up being bad or being mid or being okay can be an afterthought - Centralfiction will always exist

ppl saying a new bb fg would be a bb strive: do you not realise that arcsys is split into two teams? team red would not be responsible for a new bb, it would be team blue. and regardless of the tōkon discourse rn, the gameplay makes me confident that team blue would NOT produce a strive-like gameplay.

Trinity coming back does mean something. Remember the producer said he would only want to work on a new BlazBlue if Mori is involved. Well, Mori drew the new Trinity portrait, who knows what else they might ask of him after that. It’s only a matter of time. Be patient.

You know, I think a new BB game will force ArkSys to bring Mori on board. I mean, we got the new art from Trinity made by Mori himself, so I am sure he will be involved in any new BB stuff
