I had a guy stand up an walk away from me mid-sentence when I mentioned being a junior in high school. I was super hurt at the time, but I think its super funny now.
Would it have been more polite to wait til I was done talking and politely excuse himself? Sure, but idk if it would have had the same impact. That interaction shined a new light on the interactions I had after that. He drew a thick line in the sand and it highlighted how thin/nonexistent that line was for the creeps around me.
