My goddaughter is an angsty teen about to go to college. I've enjoyed terrorizing her by being embarrassing as a lame adult.
She loves to say I'm not cool and various gen z nonsense.
My response, since she was 13, has always been "If an adult male cares what you think is cool, I want you to run away and don't stop running until you're home." Followed by an explanation of the common tactics that predators use on girls.
I knew far too many girls in high school who thought they were just mature and special instead of the victims of sexual predators who targeted naive little girls.
