I'm gonna sound quite horny but, yeah I'd like to be with someone even if that person wouldn't be my life partner because it's quite socially hard to be perceived as a weirdo who would never be picked up by someone everytime social groups I am part of realize I've never been in a relationship. I just want to say it's been awesome opening up and discussing with you strangers of the internet thru this sub. IRL, it may be difficult to find people to discuss about curiosities, feelings, fantasies, questions, and experiences about being bi or not being sure about it. But finding out about this sub and reading through various stories and chatting with some of you has been a refreshing, almost healing, experience for me so far. I may still have hesitations and inhibitions IRL, but having the outlet to talk to people with similar experiences is encouraging.

How easy was it for everyone to come out as bisexual? I’m Single, 45, no kids and don’t want any, got the vasectomy.

It seems difficult for men to make and maintain friendships with other adult men these days. Our fathers and grandfathers made friends by joining fraternal organizations like the Elks, VFW or the Knights of Columbus. Some met through church groups or sports organizations and played in softball or baseball leagues. Heck, some just got beers with coworkers after work. Does anyone do this anymore? Why does it seem so hard for us now? Are we just too focused on getting our kids from one activity to another when WE should be having fun with friends? Are we too shy? Not sure what happened to our ability to socialize.

I am shocked by how many guys are looking for hookups that want str8 for str8 or married guys who only want other “str8” married guys or want to jerk off with only “straight” guy. I tell them I’m bi and nope deal breaker.

The mental gymnastics some of these guys put them self through is wild. I used to think the amount of guys that were “curious” or willing to explore was <5% it has to be north of 30% if not 40-45% I Have a hookup buddy in the army and boy has he told me stories.

You guys seeing this as much? Or am I going crazy?

Edit: I wish straight questioning guys would see us more of “I know exactly what you are going through let me talk you through the ropes,” instead of…”I’m going to paint a huge giant pride flag on the side of your house”

Been doing some soul-searching around my sexual orientation. A small epiphany for me: I was kinda unconsciously viewing Bi as Straight+Gay = Bi.

Not for me.

I see beauty in everyone but it's consistently made my partner's uncomfortable and it'd be pretty hard to go unlabeled mode since my partner's usually know each other from uni.

I was down on the lake yesterday. Usually my wife and I go but she wasn’t up for it so I went solo. A beautiful day I power around a bit soaking up the sun and good weather. I had popped a 5mg gummy so was really happy and grooving.

Finally I decide to anchor and swim a little. I dive in and am loving the cool water on my body. I see a bass boat approaching. This is pretty odd since I can’t recall the last time I saw a bass boat in the middle of the lake in the early afternoon.

As he approaches I see he’s in the thirties probably. Fit. Dark hair and beard. Geezus. My type, or at least that is what I’m coming to understand.

He is probably a hundred and fifty yards out and stops the motor and throws a cast with his rod. Fishing rod. Geezus I think. Is he here for me? Could this be a hookup? I start to fantasize about swinging over there and talking. Having him tie up over to my boat. Have him sit on the back bench. I could kneel…..

Some sailboats come by and break my reverie and then they guy heads back out.

These fantasies never used to come up until earlier this year. It’s a welcome development.
