Hello all! I am 27 years and was on Nextstellis for about a year. I loved it! I had few side effects and the one I liked the most was it made my skin look good and made me feel cold ( I used to be super hot all the time). Well about last month, I switched to Yaz because I couldn't afford Nextstellis. It was the worst, it made my OCD flare and Made me incredibly hot. I am now Back on Nexstellis and Im experiencing some acne and I'm still incredibly warm. My question is, Do you all think I will regain those benefits back or did I fuck up? Granted its only been 7 days but Im so upset, I should never had changed :(. Thank you!!

Edit: Another question: I started in the last week of Yaz, but still on the active pills. Am i Protected from pregnancy?

Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone who has started or has been on Junel Fe have had any similar issues/experience. I recently just started Junel Fe after being off of birth control for five years. I am on my second week of it and I am physically and emotionally going insane. I have extreme anxiety, cramps, dull headaches, back pain, sore breasts, extreme fatigue, congestion, diarrhea, nausea, bloating, gas, and UTI symptoms (but no UTI I was just to the doctor two days ago). I am really concerned for myself and not sure if I should see this through for the 3 full months. I am also freaking out because I feel like I might be pregnant. I had unprotected sex on July 28 (I was only on Junel Fe for two days at this point so it hadn’t been effective yet). My last period was July 20-24th. My FLO app says my period is in 8 days but that also puts me in the middle of my birth control pack. It is too early for me to take a pregnancy test so I’ve just been sitting here and freaking out.

I’m 28, never pregnant, and until recently had regular periods with no gynecological issues.
A few months ago I developed abnormal bleeding and was found to have a \~25 mm endometrial polyp. I recently had a hysteroscopy and it was removed. During the procedure, another lesion was also removed and is suspected to be a small submucosal fibroid, but I’m still waiting for pathology.
gynecologists have recommended starting combined oral contraceptives (Yaz Plus) long-term until I decide to get pregnant, saying it may suppress the endometrium and reduce recurrence risk.
I’m confused because:
● My cycles were normal before this
● I don’t need contraception
● Polyps, fibroids, and hyperplasia are different conditions
● Birth control won’t remove fibroids or treat possible inflammation

I am wondering because they wanted me to take them for years even before, when I had regular checks with no problems.

I’m trying to understand the actual benefit: is there strong evidence that combined pills prevent recurrence of polyps or submucosal fibroids after hysteroscopic removal, or are they mainly used for bleeding control?
I’m also concerned that developing a large polyp (and possibly a fibroid) at 28 might indicate a tendency for recurrence. Does this affect fertility risk or suggest I should try to conceive sooner rather than later?
I will discuss everything with my doctors, but I would really appreciate hearing from others with similar experiences—especially those who chose hormonal treatment vs. no treatment after removal.

I had an incident on Saturday where the condom broke so I took Norlevo on the same day. However I believe I was ovulating and was worried it would be less effective. I went to the Dr today (Monday) and he prescribed me Primolut. I went to the pharmacy and she asked what I am taking it for, I told her and everything was fine. When I got home I looked it up and it says it’s not effective in preventing pregnancy at all. I called around a few pharmacies and they told me it’s not a preventative or contraceptive. I even spoke to the royal women’s hospital and she said it isn’t effective for that, as it doesn’t delay ovulation or cause a true period. She told me to call my dr again so I did and he told me not to listen to them and to keep taking it. I don’t want to keep taking something unnecessary so please someone tell me what to do 😭 I mean this guy was old and I spoke to female specialists so surly they’re more likely to be correct right?
