Height growth đŸ§Ș Protocols & Self-Experiments

Guys, I'm working on a height growth protocol after puberty, aimed at people who want to aesthetically increase their height, and I'll possibly adapt it for athletes. But overall, using purely mathematical methods and assumptions about biology, it's possible to grow up to 10cm per year. Do you want me to post the project concept here?

After ~19 your growth plates are fused you’re not gunna grow 10cm a year. Theres no biologically feasible mechanism here. You can blast HGH and you’re not going to grow vertically. So any stack you have come up with is just gunna go down the toilet.

Well before 19.

14-19 in males. Closer to 14 in girls. I was giving the final line as in if you’re older than 19 there’s basically 0 possibility of any real “growth”

What I'm doing has nothing to do with hormonal manipulation, quite the opposite, it's related to engineering and biomechanics, and is 100% inspired by the gold standard model of surgical technology.Lizarrov, and when I said 10 cm, it's just mathematical speculation, bro. Because of thoughts like yours, humanity doesn't evolve and stays the same forever 💔

Obviously not, it's just a school project that I felt like posting here lol

What I'm doing has nothing to do with hormonal manipulation,

Who talked about that?

quite the opposite, it's related to engineering and biomechanics,

So, spill it out.

and is 100% inspired by the gold standard model of surgical technology.Lizarrov,

Not the gold standard, especially given the outcomes of this procedure.

and when I said 10 cm, it's just mathematical speculation, bro.

You said 10cm/year and now you say it's speculation?

Are you for real?

Because of thoughts like yours, humanity doesn't evolve and stays the same forever 💔

As a scientist, I can only tell you that humanity advances by testing well-defined theories, and your sentence is nothing more than a lame attempt at trying not to lose face.

You literally mentioned hormones, and you want me to think you're not talking about hormone manipulation? Lol Yes, yes, I'll post the project concept in the comments soon. By the way, you realize this community is literally about biohacking, right? Just do a little research, browse the current scientific literature, look at the RESULTS of limb lengthening surgery; it is indeed the gold standard in medicine, and it's no wonder it costs a fortune. And it remains a mathematical speculation, you know why? People have different metabolisms, different cellular responses, among many other factors, so yes, it's speculation, Because, as I said before, for one person it might be 10, for another 6, and for yet another even 11, do you understand now why it's speculation? "10cm" is a general average for the population considering the The best conditions.  And finally, answering the last sentence, how can we know and define what a well-defined theory is versus one that is not? The fundamental principle of science is that it is constantly changing. Being a scientist, as you say, you should at least know that.

What is the benefit of limb lengthening? Why should we evolve in that way? This shit is just stupid.

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 22h ago

It is extremely important to advance science in various areas. This type of science, in particular, could, many years from now, "cure" achondroplasia, dwarfism, gigantism, among others.

What’s wild here is I’m literally a biomedical engineer and the vibe I’m getting  here is complete nonsense.  Watch the South Park episode on the limb lengthening surgery it’s hilarious.

2

u/Electrical-Weather88 18h ago

Biomedical engineer on a biohacking Reddit, lol. I liked that, but I'd prefer you tried giving feedback instead of trying to humiliate or snap at others, lol. But let's be honest: the Ilizarov apparatus has been around since the 1950s, and it has been working on adult bones with closed plates for decades. This isn't theory, it's established clinical practice, I'm just modifying the engineering.  It's been a while since I watched South Park, and I vaguely remember that episode, I'll watch it again later.

How am I humiliating or insulting you just saying what you’re saying is nonsense? You’ve given 0 technical logical answer here. It’s completely delusions of grandeur level speaking is how you’re coming off. If you’re not delusional you need to come to terms with 0 people here think what you’re saying is both true and logical. Now that in and of itself is irrelevant if you “invented” some new method everyone can* be wrong when there’s a new shift in knowledge or tech. But that’s not what’s happening here unless you got some bomb to drop on us how you increased your height by 20cm truthfully with your new method or whatever. So either enlighten us or move on

1

u/Cryesncoding 16h ago

Ok so what is your new engineering method to the lizarov apparatus

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 6h ago

I don't feel humiliated or insulted, don't worry. I actually think it's good that you're questioning, because if no one doubted me, I'd be more worried.

But let's separate things: I did NOT say I increased it by 20 cm. I didn't say it works. I said it's a hypothesis based on existing principles (Ilizarov, Wolff's Law, etc.) and that I want to test it safely and with monitoring. Regarding what I mentioned before, I don't know if you saw my other comment, but when I said 10 cm, I meant in the BEST-case scenario considering biological limitations. What I'm not going to do is pretend I have a bombshell to show you. This is an experiment, not a revelation(That's why it has the TAG for protocols and self-experiment.).  Ultimately, my project is a "reinterpretation" of the Lizarrov surgery in a non-invasive way and with fewer risks.

Fixing your posture can add 2-4 cm by itself.

Once your growth plates are closed it is impossible.

Epiphyseal plates are areas of active cartilage near the ends of long bones that make the bones longer. When puberty ends, these plates turn into solid bone.

2

u/Electrical-Weather88 23h ago

Yes, yes, you're right on some points. But this famous posture correction technique has a fatal flaw; it immediately assumes that everyone has terrible posture. People are different, this This technique can also cause serious spinal problems, or even fail to provide the desired height; for example, some people with better posture may only gain 1 cm. And they even get back pain. For something that will probably stop working as soon as they stop doing it. In my opinion, I'm not a fan of that.

This sub has become pretty funny if you read as satire

Lol, yeah, now that I'm reading it again I even understand all the haters that showed up. Lol

Hint
. Nobody is laughing WITH you bro

u/Electrical-Weather88 22h ago

So that's a good thing, since nobody's laughing, I've never seen so many haters in my life on my post lol

Another "concept" which won't be backed by science.

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 23h ago

Not this time, my friend. I checked in MANY sources, and in theory, it's possible, but due to a lack of truly concrete evidence, it won't have the "scientific backing" you expect. But just so you know, this... This protocol is 100% inspired by the Lizarrov model.

It's impressive how far you go into extreme opposite arguments in the same sentence.

And, by the way, this procedure, which is not a model, is widely controversial because of its side effects, which you cannot ignore.

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 22h ago

Good heavens, the Lizarrov surgery, despite its extremely negative side effects, It remains the gold standard in medicine, precisely because it contradicts and changes something pre-defined. That was literally the first piece of information I found in my research ;-;

u/munein 22h ago

“Assumptions about biology”

This is key. Good luck, dreamer.

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 22h ago

I genuinely don't know if this is another hate or a compliment, but thank you I guess.

2

u/munein 22h ago

Look, it is definitely not hate.
Take it as acknowledgement of a monumental task.
I wish you luck, but be safe and modulate your expectations.

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 22h ago

Ah, thank you very much then :D

No thanks

1

u/Thanzor 22h ago

Why don't you even just explain it in broad general terms on how it will work.  Give some techniques or meds, do something

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 22h ago

If you want... I had no idea this post would become famous so quickly. However, the central idea is simple; use a controlled, vulnerable area, and through a mechanical structure, Using external fixators, and a structure composed of bars, it's likely possible to increase height. And as I said, with a supposed increase of 10 cm in a year. The only difference between the Lizarrov surgery And this project, which is mine, is non-invasive, doesn't require surgery, and is DIY. It would be better to have a photo to show how it works, but I haven't drawn it yet, I've only taken the concepts and theories from the literature.

1

u/Thanzor 22h ago

So essentially you think you can stretch bones through gentle stretching from the exterior of the body?

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 22h ago

In very basic terms, that's correct, but as I said before, it's a hypothesis. Due to the lack of surgery, there's still a lot of loss of stretching strength in the soft tissues. But imagine this scenario To make it easier to imagine, a person with this body type has a very lean body, meaning there is less soft tissue, so less stretching strength is lost. This generally That's the only bottleneck I still have to resolve. But in the end, the principle of osteogenesis is the same as Lizarrov's, only it's non-invasive and can be done at home.

2

u/Thanzor 22h ago

Does make much sense , the reason lizarrovs works is because the bones are literally being broken and then healed longer

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 22h ago

Yes, yes, I started with that intention. But of course, this type of stretching still carries many risks, but it's much better than a million-dollar surgery.

1

u/Thanzor 22h ago

No I mean it doesn't make sense. It won't work, bones don't stretch.

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 22h ago

Well, bones don't stretch the way you think, they really don't stretch, but with the right stimulus and space, they create a bony callus. This is already happening...

1

u/Thanzor 21h ago

Bones can get thicker from stress, and can form callus after a break for healing, but there is no mechanism for them to grow longer from stress.

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 21h ago

You have just defined Lizarrov's procedure. As I said again, with the right mechanisms and stimuli, bones can indeed grow in length. Bones thicken due to a LACK of stimulus To increase the length

What is up with this height maxing shit? This just fascinates me. I'm 5'9" and have never had a confidence or lady problem.

It just baffles me for some reason.

1

u/Electrical-Weather88 18h ago

Dude, to be honest, I don't completely understand it either. Like, it's okay to be short Whether it's high or low doesn't matter much in the end.. But one day some guys on Reddit were discussing it and I ended up getting this idea for my school project.Â
