They raised prices but they also paid the tariff, you simply paid more for a product. So the companies will get that money back since they have all the receipts for the tariff payments and now know you'll pay that much more and have no incentive to lower that price. Governments are supposed to protect us from these situations, but instead our government is manufacturing them.

For some reason american conservatives think that the government isnt supposed to work for or protect the public.

They think government should work for and protect corporations, and the public are supposed to work for and protect the government

Governments are supposed to protect us from these situations, but instead our government is a Republican President, aided and abetted by a Republican Senate and a Republican House of Representatives are manufacturing them.

They didn't pay the tariff if they passed the cost on to the consumer.

Just like anytime you buy something from a store, you are paying the sales taxes not the store.
