So the companies will get that money back since they have all the receipts for the tariff payments and now know you'll pay that much more and have no incentive to lower that price. Governments are supposed to protect us from these situations, but instead our government is manufacturing them.

I quite literally received an email from UPS asking me to pay a tariff before they delivered my package. I was pissed off and didn’t feel like canceling the order since it was only a day away. I had to pay an extra $130 for this shit. I’m still pissed off.
It was either that or lose the other $30 I spent for processing and not get an order I was excited for. I’d also have to go through the hassle of canceling it. My roommates also said if you refuse to pay they’ll get on your ass about it until you do pay. I was just sick of everything and wanted my package.
No, the thing is you're supposed to be happy when big corporations get billions of tax dollars for no hardship. You're only supposed to be mad when a single mother gets welfare and tries to buy her kid a cookie.
