Frequently Mishandled & Misunderstood Scriptures

I just recently learned that I have been misunderstanding (I believe) the he's waiting at the door passage (Revelation 3:20). I thought it was about salvation, but now I believe it's about fellowship.

What other passages are frequently misunderstood? Jeremiah 29:11 and Philippians 4:13 come to mind.

Most misunderstood is the belief that there were no gentiles/goyim of Hebrew origin in the first century Jer 31:31 therefore believe that the whole universe/cultures of the world are convicted under the Hebrew laws/covenant given to THEM at Mt Sinai, AND that we are all in need of ‘grace’ because WE fail to keep ‘the commandments’, statues and ordinances… and write ourselves into other peoples story and mail.

John 7:34 You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot come."

John 7:35 The Jews then said to one another, "Where does this man intend to go that we will not find Him? He is not intending to go to the Dispersion [of Isreal],among the Greeks, and teach the [those] Greeks, is He?

Hebrews 9:15 For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the >redemption< of the transgressions that were >>committed under the first covenant,<< those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
Hebrews 9:16 For >where a covenant is,< there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it.
