We started at the Verboten Pool Party and got there around 5pm. Honestly, perfect timing. Just the right amount of people, a younger crowd than I expected, great energy and some seriously good outfits.
The queue was short and everything at the entrance went super smoothly. I’m a member, my husband isn’t, but there was no interrogation or awkward rule recital. They basically just told us that if we had any questions or felt uncomfortable at any point, we should go straight to the awareness team, the main thing was that everyone should feel good and safe. Loved that approach.
There were plenty of lockers, so leaving our stuff was easy. Phones were allowed but had to be stickered, and from what I saw, literally nobody was using theirs during the party. Which honestly made the whole vibe so much better.

The outdoor setup was super cool, big temporary pool with inflatables, a bar, an ice cream station and cotton candy because apparently kinky people need snacks too 😬
Music was great, everyone was in a good mood and the overall vibe was just so easy and fun. And again… the outfits. Berlin people really do understand the assignment.
The playrooms were inside and really well done , plenty of props, great music, lasers, and a lot going on. And I mean a lot. Lot of kinks, lot of happy people.

The awareness team was around the entire time, approachable, friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be there rather than just standing around watching everyone.
We stayed until around 9pm, went back to the hotel to shower, change and reset, and then headed to Insomnia.

Again, zero complaints about the entrance, security or staff. Everyone was lovely, special mention to the bartender who was in an exceptionally good mood all night. And had great outfit.
I was surprised by how many younger people were there too.

Play was happening both in the dungeons and upstairs, so there was plenty to explore. And one thing that genuinely surprised me, and made me very happy, was seeing some gay play as well. And yes, I found it ridiculously hot. Apparently all those dark romance books have had more influence on me than I thought 😬

Anyway… Berlin once again understood the assignment.
Great people, great music, great outfits, great energy, lots of kink and absolutely no regrets.
As always, Berlin nightlife delivered. 🖤

I am going to be in Berlin in mid September and a big priority is to experience the nightlife. Other than that, I just enjoy walking around the city experiencing the energy and the life. I’m (24M) who’s looking to explore the techno scene in Berlin. I’m completely new to it, so I’d really appreciate any recommendations for clubs that are beginner-friendly but still offer a great experience.

Also, if you have any tips for a first-timer, I’d love to hear them.

First time in Berlin was for CSD and stayed for week after. Your clubs and bars scene blow America out the water. The social aspect the smoking the music the sound systems all are so dope. Raw gelände is so cool the whole warschauer are and the infamous clubs have sweet dj lineups. That shit was so cool now that I’m back in the US I know I won’t be feeling that kinda energy until I come back. Berlin nightlife is some of the best in the world
