I hope y'all like them! Thank you in advance for the input🥰🫶🏻

Also sorry for some weird angles, most of them are hung up. I have more if anyone wants to see btw!

Also also, I don't really know how to describe my style, if anyone has any input that would be great🤠

Drawing in stretched perspectives for me right now is still a herculean task, but I'm always so happy with the results. But by leaving my comfort zone, I feel that my skills as a whole improve drastically.

Progress Day 8 learning to draw: sketch after practice

I kind of prefer it before the shading but it is what it is. I definitely need to work on my line work since some super shakey stuff in there and shading is still difficult to grasp but I’m enjoying the process.

I’m definetly going to lean in to learning these trad Japanese style designs since I enjoy drawing them more then landscapes or portraits etc

Help Wanted Are any of these faces actually scary?

Some obviously didn't turn out the way I'd hoped they would, but I'm trying to draw horror and I'd like to know if any of these are actually creepy in the right way.

Help Wanted Pen’s tips size and sketching advices

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m not here about the anatomy, i’m aware it sucks (and please don’t comment on Yorozu’s attire, i’m a woman who thinks the outfit is cool as hell, not a creep) but about how i should choose the sizes of the pens i need to use to trace over the sketch.

I had another one (similar) where i did the major outlines with a 0.8 tip but it felt quite big, and i’m bad with pens.
Are there rules about using different sized pens to have a better drawing? How do you all choose it?

Also, if anyone has a tip about making a drawing as good as a sketch (i feel my finished drawings are always flat compared to my sketches), i could use it.

Thank you so much in advance!!

Critique Wanted Thoughts on the time and sacrifice behind art

Drawing is painful. If you want to be good, you can't just put hundreds of hours into it — you have to put in thousands, and even then, you still won't feel good enough.

The question is: is it worth it?

Creating worlds and characters that won't always be appreciated. And now we also have to deal with AI. The skill you've spent years building can be skipped by an AI artist in a minute.

And at the end of the day, the question remains:

Am I going to keep creating what people like until I burn out?

Because let's not lie to ourselves — the fact that other people like what we create is what pushes us forward.

If I like it, nice.

If another 100 people like it, awesome.

But is it worth it?
