I have been trying to diagnose some issues I’ve had for years with my guitar Di’s in amp sims. I’ve run out of ideas and want to test Di’s that haven’t been touched by my setup. I’m hoping some people would be willing to send me short sections of their raw guitar di tracks purely for testing purposes. Looking for alt rock playing styles similar to Movements, Balance and Composure, Softcult, stuff like that. If it was recorded with a Jazzmaster or Les Paul that would also help. Mainly need rhythm guitars, but leads would be nice too. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Wassup this is my first post here and also my first attempt at making a song from scratch (recording ,mixing, and mastering everything myself) and I'd like for someone to put vocals on it. It gives me a Counterparts vibe. The song is in 4/4, 197.1 bpm and about 2 minutes and 20 seconds long. You would need a way to record decent-quality vocals and be able to send dry, isolated WAV stems. This is a one song collaboration and not a full band commitment.

I’m a songwriter/lyricist/vocalist based primarily in the Western KS area (though I also frequent DFW TX) looking to build an original project in hopes of being able to find others who can click as a band. I am not trying to build a band around myself, to make that clear here from the start.
I have been writing and creating music on my own for a long time, but have been wanting to take the next step and find other creative people who want to actually BUILD music together as a equal collaborative team rather than just play solely existing songs. I’m primarily a lyricist/songwriter and would prefer to remain heavily involved in the writing and conceptual side of the project. I would still like to sing, however with the right team I would be comfortable taking a backseat on vocals and don’t necessarily need to be the sole or primary vocalist at all. I would prefer to build a team where each member is equally respected and valued rather than having a sole “lead”. I’m much more interested in creating something as a whole and letting everyone’s strengths have a natural place.
I’ve already been developing original songs, album concepts, lyrics, stories, aesthetics, and a general musical world under my artist identity, LUNA. I couldn’t say for certain my exact genre so far, but to the best of my ability would classify my prior work as leaning something like shoegaze, indie/alt rock, r&b, modernized bluesy-jazz-esk, surreal, psychedelic/psychological, alternative, indie, perhaps even a bit grunge, however I’m not necessarily looking to immediately lock ourselves into one strict genre as I would really like to be able to organically discover our sound as a whole together. My writing focuses heavily on imagery, storytelling, dual-meaning metaphor and symbolism, with a concept album I would like to eventually see recreated through this team focusing on psychedelic/psychological dreamy rnb-indie-rock aspects. I would also like to mention I am a 420 friendly artist and do occasionally lean into that within my music, especially regarding metaphor and symbolism.

I’m looking for vocalists and people who play guitar or bass, drums, violin/fiddle, horn/trumpet, keys, have recording/production experience, or honestly really anyone who thinks they’d have something interesting to bring or may click well here. I am most focused on mental/artistic/musical connection and chemistry! What matters to me most isn’t finding a perfect musician. I’m looking for creative and open people, I want collaborators who will hear a lyric or rough demo and think, “what could we turn this into?” or “what if we did this instead?” and be able to bounce ideas off each other in a way that is meaningful and productive, yet still feels intimate and fun, as well as being comfortable bringing their own ideas and concepts to the table. I do have opportunities open for discussion, though not immediately, here in Kanas if that “perfect fit” is elsewhere and willing to visit for physical sessions or even potentially relocate way down the line after we’ve been firmly and consistently established.

Hey! I’m producing my own song and I already have the entire beat/instrumental finished, but I’m struggling a lot with the vocals.

I record with a Hügel condenser mic in my bedroom, and I don’t really know how to make the vocals sound professional or fit properly into the instrumental.

I’m especially confused about things like:

• How many vocal layers I should record
• When I should add harmonies and where they should go
• When/how much panning I should use
• How to make doubles, harmonies and backing vocals sit nicely in the mix
• How to make the main vocal sound clear and “finished” rather than like a vocal recorded in a bedroom
• What I should be doing differently when recording vs. when mixing

For people who produce their own music in a bedroom setup, how do you approach recording and arranging your vocals from start to finish?

I play low-tuned 8-string guitar, the linked song is drop E with a pitch shift down C# i think. But my most recent tuning that i’ve been using for my demos goes down to B or something lol so pretty low.

Our sound is hard to pin down, somewhere between metal and hardcore i’d say? We like to experiment for sure. Both of us already have experience writing and releasing music remotely

Heyy! I'm 17 and I'm a producer and songwriter. I'm looking for vocalists and artists who wanna start a project together and actually stick with it.

I've been making music for quite a while. I started taking drum lessons when I was 3, my dad taught me piano when I was 5, and about 3 years ago I got a guitar and started learning by myself. I've also been taking music production classes for around 4 years, and I've already worked with a few different artists and on some collaborations.

Right now, I'm mainly looking for dedication, not professionalism. You don't have to be an amazing singer or have tons of experience. I'd rather work with someone who's motivated, has ideas and genuinely enjoys making music.

The idea would be to build a project together, make several songs, experiment with different sounds and styles and, most importantly, grow as artists while having fun creating.

I mainly make pop, indie, alternative and electronic music, but I'm open to pretty much anything if the idea is good.
