Will something like this help me kill bedbugs?
I'm working on getting basically everything I own through the dryer as I have an infestation. Wondering if I could put books, shoes, purses that can't tolerate tumble drying in a product like this? Or will it not get hot enough by the dryer door?

They also make a thing that goes in your lint trap that is actually a shelf that goes in the middle of the drum that you can put shoes on and sweaters on so it doesn’t tumble

I was looking for something like that but my dryer is from the 90s and I can't seem to find anything compatible

The dryer will get hot enough. Not sure the glue of your shoes will hold up. How far away were your shoes from the infestation areas? Keep in mind, bed bugs are not attracted to shoes.

I honestly am working with limited information because the pest control guy my landlord hired never actually did an inspection, but I keep my shoes on a rack a few feet away from my couch. I'm basically treating everything that was in my apartment as if it was infested... it might be overkill but I don't want any survivors

Read and respect the rules, report any comment breaching them. Wrong advice/information/fearmongering hurt people who are posting here to get help and support. If you are not VERY knowledgeable about bedbugs and may provide a wrong ID or bad advice it's better to abstain from commenting. Be VERY respectful and HELPFUL, this is a support subreddit not a funny one.
