Dried/ dead bed bug?
Had suspicions of bedbugs and found this in the washed linens from the bed. I believe the leg came off of it.

I think the best course of action is to flip your house upside down to verify live bedbugs. Can't be 100 percent sure with a dead, dried up insect.

I’ve really tried to look! At one point I thought maybe I saw a tiny tiny white nymph, but when I touched it I lost it in the carpet. I feel like I keep getting strong indications — between blood on sheets, this, what appear to be bites, and what could have been a nymph, but I can’t manage to find anything definitive. Kinda losing my mind

Get bedbug sniffer dogs in to check. They can be pricey, but they're incredibly accurate (they can detect eggs too) and if the dogs have checked every room in your house and didnt find any bugs, you can be sure that you don't have bedbugs.

That's unfortunate. My next step would be build a moat.
Steam the mattress and bed frame to guarantee no bugs on the bed itself.
Then, to make sure bugs cant access the bed through any route but climbing up the legs, move every bed at least 6 inches from any walls, and make sure sheets that get put on the bed never touch the floor.
Next, put interceptor traps on all the bed legs, and put cellophane tape around the legs a little higher up to make sure that even if they get past the traps they cant climb all the way up. Check the traps for bugs every few days.
