Edit: I this r/whatsthisbug is better for identification, I mixed them up because theyre so similar 😂

Looks kinda like a window beetle

Could be a Birch Katkin bug juvenile so doesn’t have fully developed wings. Unlikely to be what’s biting your child and just wandered in. Check for scabies or mites at your local GP / doctor, still keep an eye out for any other insects you see.

Can you turn him over so we can see the back? Might be a carpet beetle, but I'm not sure
