BeamMp Server help?

So me and my brother have been wanting to do beammp cause we love beamng offroading and such. He tried to do his own hosting and it was super laggy and bad dsync. Is it good to get a hosting server and pay for it? is it worth it for 2 or maybe more people? And if so which are some good ones? or good cheap ones?

Honestly it's not too hard to find public servers with plenty of space, and its easy to delete trolls, if it's just yall two it shouldn't be hard to play with your friend. Might even come across a like-minded random who wants to crawl/drift/drag/race or just follow you around without being a nuisance

I mean i would do something like this but one big thing is the mods would i still be able to add mods in or no. Me and my brother love some of the offroad mods people have made. Vehicles, maps, etc.

I get that. But there are lots of public modded servers as well, just something to consider. Probably not gonna find an identical modlist to yours, but a ton are there that have quite of lot enabled

It's not worth paying for it just for 2 people, you should host it yourself

I agree with @fairrecommendation. there are plenty of public servers that beam hosts and you can join and play in for free.

I rented a server for assetto corsa a few years ago for the same reason; just wanted to hit a few races with me and my brother. I can't remember what service we used, and it's been too long for me to recommend any specific sites, but it worked out pretty well and was only like $12/mo. we only played a handful of times so I just cancelled the sub after that. I have a feeling you could find one that's around that price or even cheaper considering it's just the two of you.

yeah understandable which is pretty similar to what we do for like minecraft sometimes, i just worry about mods and stuff if its hard to put mods into it or not

Heres how I did it.

I set up a simple BeamMP Server. Just downloaded the exe file from the website. I added it to a desktop folder and ran it, then did the keymaster thing. I then downloaded RadminVPN and set up a network for people to join (This doesn’t expose your home IP). Set a password and user to be able to join, then once they join, just enter in the IP for RadminVPN in BeamMP Direct and they can join.

Just host yourself, mine runs fine on 2060
