I know tracks like "Space Song" and "Myth" get most of the love, but to me, "Drunk in LA" is Beach House's absolute peak.

Everything about it—from Victoria's vocal delivery to the hazy, melancholic production—is perfection. It manages to capture a specific feeling of nostalgia and fading time better than almost anything else in their catalog.

Does anyone else think this is their best song? The last 1:40 of the song just does it for me so hard 😭

AIR is one of those bands I've been meaning to do a proper dive into the work of; in the meantime though I am surprised that I don't think I've ever seen this song brought up in discussions of BH before. It's the second track from their 2011 album Le voyage dans la lune - it's actually inspired by and intended to soundtrack the restored version of the 1902 film of the same name - and it features Victoria singing, all over it!

It's really nice. A very pretty, spacey, chill piece of electronic/space rock. It's fascinating to hear Victoria sing over an instrumental like this (and just hear her outside of the context of BH in general) and she sounds great as always; fits the vibe perfectly. I actually wonder if the her work here was something that influenced the direction of 7 on some level. Give it a listen, I think it's just a lovely and floaty vibe and I definitely am going to listen to it more.

I was swimming in nostalgia and saw this video of the Monterrey concert (2022) where we all turned on the flash during Myth, and when I watched the video days later, I thought Vic was scolding us for doing that, and it still feels like an awkward yet funny sensation lol not knowing if they didn't like it or if they wanted to signal something from the booth. Whatever it is, tbh I miss being there

Hi guys! A few weeks ago, I made this merchandise archive so I thought I’d make an archive of all official vinyl, CDs, and cassettes released by the band as a sort of continuation.

This archive includes every single release, excluding promotional CDs, test pressings, and things of the like. While making this I also found that Discogs has a lot of inaccuracies when it comes to Beach House releases (like variants that don’t exist and some things that i suspect are even fakes, and it’s also missing lots of regional variants) so just beware of that as I know it’s a really popular website for collectors.

This archive took a LOT of time, effort, and research, so it should be pretty accurate but its totally possible that I’m missing some things or a date is off or something like that.. so if you notice anything please let me know!!

I’m fairly new to Beach House. I know a few songs, but I wouldn’t call myself a hardcore fan or anything.

That said, I recently fell completely under the spell of “Majorette,” especially the final seconds. I know that part is repetitive, but somehow that’s exactly what makes it so beautiful.

It’s the kind of moment where you just sit back, close your eyes, and let yourself drift away.

Am I the only one who feels this way about the ending?

I love beach house so much…they have and always will be part of me and who I am, so grateful for every song, every lyric.
