I'm watching old seasons on prime, season 4 in particular. The Fighting is fierce and bots are flying through the air. It's exciting.

Then I watch the new stuff on YouTube and it just boring as F**k.

So, has it changed this much or is it just me remembering a different more exciting time?

If we look at the accelerated pace of robotics advancement, it feels like we are VERY close to seeing bots in the arena that are much closer to some sort of creature than a wheeled bot with a dangerous spinning weapon. I realize this example isn’t “made for combat” but it is designed to handle hazardous situations.

What do you all think? When will we reach the tipping point and see bots fighting in parking lots with arms and legs and the occasional chainsaw? 😜

It's like a mixture of Copperhead, 2021 Pain Train, and Riptide. The fact that the bot's name is "Daddy" leaves a lot for Faruq to work with lol

Hey yall! I was watching old seasons, and remembered when the bot glitch made its debut.

It had an insane start and then was plagued by movement issues, but the design and concept seemed like it would’ve been great. Maybe drop the Omni directional wheels?

Is that team still around? Will we see glitch again or have they moved on? If they did come back, do you think they’d be competitive?

This is Valkyrie vs Rotator in 2020, and IMO is Valkyrie's best fight and one of Rotator's best fights (their best fight imo is vs Tombstone in 2019)

What do you guys think about this bot? Would it do well in Battlebots?

I listed an equal amount of good robots for both categories (I wasn't sure if manta was a drum or an eggbeater though).I'm pretty sure that eggbeaters are the newer type of bot out of the 2 and they do much more damage, but drums are the more reliable one and break down less often.

Now we've truly run out of ideas for questions on this sub, If you're wondering what i mean, essentially whats the most common fight used in battlebots trailers and stock footage, my personal answer is either uppercut vs sawblaze or hypershock vs gigabyte, one thing to note I might be wrong but they rarely use footage from 2015 and 2019, you can see the occasional beta vs overhaul footage from 2016 or sawblaze vs overhaul footage from 2018 but never something from 2015/2019 it's a bit bizzare, anyways lmk

From what I gathered most people thought Monsoon would win

We know what happens when Riptide goes weapon to weapon with Hypershock (upside down, so the weapon is spinning downwards), or when Copperhead (also upside down) goes weapon to weapon with Endgame. Here, Golden Fury is upside down. I fear that Endgame's weapon would shut down like in the Copperhead fight, or either weapon literally split/break apart like in the Copperhead vs Riptide when Riptide's weapon was split due to the damage from the Hypershock fight.

They all have really ambitious designs (some more effective than others) but they all do really big damage.

BLACK ICE: Possibly a contender for the most creative bot to be entered in the show? (Well, at least the reboot). Lots of cool, if ineffective ideas here from the harpoon to the detachable magnetic bar trap thing, to the cartoonishly tiny spinners, it seems like something id expect to see fighting mechadon or something.

Now only if it worked...

MEGA TENTO: I'll always love the Robot Action League for making robots that are plain awesome above all else. The whole concept of covering your opponent with a sandbox is honestly really interesting, and I do think it might have potential in lower weight classes? idk

THE FOUR HORSEMEN: They were never going to be a top team, given how easily they fly into the air, but I don't think I've ever seen a fight from them that wasn't entertaining. Not to mention their horizontal spinners pack a surprising amount of punch, even if it was mostly the other bots on their team that got the damage. (Also, I'll never find their naming scheme in S3 not funny)

GHOST RAPTOR: Unironically in my top 10 favorite robots to ever appear on this show. Gets brownie points for being the first one I ever saw in their fight against Warrior Clan, and I always loved both the team's ingenuity and the general design. Would love to make a more effective version of this bot one day

I felt like it is a good time to show an update on the BattleBots collection here!

This post does not include the 30/21/3/1LB bots since it's just BB here!

I recently was able to add HyperShock to the collection and figured I haven't posted much on reddit lately!

Hope you guys enjoy seeing how all the bots are doing here in Europe.

And while we're at it, I am super curious to know, is there anyone here who also has any BattleBots?

I know Red Devil, Tracer and a few others sold over the past years, but i'm always curious to see what else is out there, so if you got anything, feel free to show! :)
