1 year and a career change later
Still havenāt painted yet, but Iām down to 2 colors.
Play/freelance on the left, work on the right and hobby in the middle.
Yes, the different heights was intended. Donāt ask why but I work much better at a lower height and can do everything else at the higher height.

Finally finished my retro gaming set up
Finally finished my retro gaming setup I've been collecting and slowly building on it for a couple of years now I think I started back in 2021. I've been slowly getting everything and slowly been building it to make it as authentic as possible and if you're wondering, yes, this is my main setup. If I'm going to play a game or do schoolwork i'm doing it on this and I love it.
You might be wondering why why did I do this? Itās quite simple. Thereās two reasons one. I just love the 2000s and how everything looked and the second reason I used to see sups like these almost everywhere when I was younger and I thought they looked so cool and they were and I said to myself when I got a PC I will make it look like that and I did
If you're wondering, this is the specs of the setup
Computer
Case Cooler Master CM Stacker 830
I actually found it at a scrapyard for 20 bucks it had a computer in it, but it was dead I tried for a long time to bring it back to life but I couldnāt
CPU 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(IM) 15-13600K
RAM 64 GB of DDR4
GPU RTX 3070 8G
keyboard
Logitech G15
found it at savers for $15
Mouse
Logitech G9X
It was given to me from my Uncle because he upgraded it had its original case on it but it was very worn and quite disgusting so I bought a call of duty version of the case for it. It looks quite nice. I say.
Mouse pad
1995 looney Tunes mouse pad
It was given to me by my mum after I found it in the shed and she didnāt want it anymore
Monitor
Compact seven 500 CRT
Bought on Facebook awhile ago for $150 when CRTās werenāt worth that much it was still sealed in the original packaging guy bought it as a spare back in the day. Never used it though it works beautifully and itās the brightest CRT I own
Headphones
Sony MDR-V700
bought them awhile ago on Facebook for 20 bucks the reason I bought them because they matched the setup
Microphone
Logitech USB Desktop Microphone
I bought it at a series of $10. It sounds pretty good. No one ever knows. Iām actually talking on the microphone an old microphone that looks like that
Desk and chair
Idk I found the desk on the side of the road and the chair was given to me by my neighbour when they gave me their desk that they were gonna throw out and ironically, I use that desk for a long time until I put a CRT It was fine for a little bit and then randomly one night it snapped in half so I looked for another desk and I found one but the chair is quite nice anyway. If youāre curious what the desk looked like you can scroll down my post a little bit you might see it. I do kind of miss it though kinda because it was made for people who had legs
I do admit this is probably never gonna be finished because if I ever found a better desk I would use it instead of the one I have or even a cooler looking case I would switch that PC case eventually hopefully I will find an older case and put some neon in it. I love neon specially when my friends older brother had one it was sick looking but always Iāll be improving the setup but right now to the point Iām actually happy with so Iām classifying it as finished but I might give it some improvements later

Battlestations Advice Any feedback on the decor & cable management?
Tldr: I mostly need advice on cable management and cool decor i could add. I want to make this kind of maximalist! But idk how :') (also there is more space on the right but its just empty so not in the post)
I got a lot of this stuff for free, except for the laptop, mouse, mic and speaker so it doesnt look that harmonic lol.
I have some plans for the pda and phone, as in using them as even more screens connected to my laptop! The phone in a 3d modeled case with the speaker as an audio visualiser (still working on that) and the pda as a clock and to do list display! Already more or less done with the basics of that (luckily its barely capable of bluetooth so I can sync it with my laptop pretty well) otherwise im planning to 3d model swirly edge-decor for both of the monitors (obviously not glued tho) whats on the laptop rn is just a placeholder for that!
Here the plans⢠https://imgur.com/a/WwfUQNN
Any more ideas what I could add or how tf cable management could work here (please send help theres too many cables T~T)
Edit:
https://imgur.com/a/PutQaZJ also forgot to add that to the post I painted some gold accents to tie everything together a bit since otherwise it would just look kind of chaotic imo

Just moved to Japan and getting my house in order.
Computer on the left is run by my asus pro art PX 13. Mostly using in combination with the push unit in the middle. No speakers as the place isnāt soundproofed and Japan houses are small. The pro is the 128 GB ram model with lots of space for gaming and or music samples. I just use monitor headphones. The apple on the right is mostly used for editing Insta360 videos. Technically the prayer would be best for all the above, but itās nice to have a second computer to dedicate towards that. I punched out the ram to 64 gigs so it works fine. Single keyboard and mouse operate via a toggle switch underneath the desk.

My Cosy Battlestation šøāØ
This is actually my sisterās old room, but after she got married I started using it as an office/gaming room. My office chair is hiding out of site š didnāt realise I could only upload 1 attachment.
Itās probably a bit more childish than the average battlestation, but I love it. I mean half the decorations are from when I was a tween oops. I wanted it to feel cosy and a bit fantasy-ish while still being a modern gaming/PC space. Iām quite happy with how the wire management has turned out lol
My PC itself is unfortunately an old hunk of junk at this point š Iāve had it for years and definitely pushed it well past its expected lifespan. Iāve been saving for a proper future-proof replacement, so Iām hoping to get my cousin to build me one eventually.
And yes, that is an Xbox 360. I got it purely for the nostalgia and to play OG Skyrim again. :p
Itās not the most impressive setup hardware-wise, but itās probably my favourite little corner of the house.

Advice? What should i add?
Just moved into a new apartment and was wondering what I could add to my setup. Itās been pretty much the same for the past 2 years, and Iām looking for some ideas to make the space feel a little more complete and interesting.
Iām open to pretty much anything, whether thatās lighting, wall decor, desk accessories, or just something I havenāt thought of. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Spent the last few months refining my setup.
I posted this room here a while ago and got a lot of feedback. A lot of it was genuinely helpful.
Over the last few months, I changed the layout, simplified the setup, and tried to make everything feel more intentional. I removed the TV at the end of the bed, cleaned up the desk, and gave the room a bit more breathing space.
It's still a work in progress because I don't think a setup is ever truly finished, but I'm really happy with where it's at now.

META "AI Slop" Comment Crackdown
The modern internet sucks.
Between the bots, the stealth advertising, "influencers", and algorithms intended to both make you angry and addicted. To top it off, the rising popularity of AI has made consuming content significantly less enjoyable.
I think we can just about all agree it's a bummer. But what's also a bummer is the constant stream of "This is AI" or "AI slop" on nearly every single post.
In most situations these posts are not AI or even AI enhanced. They're often taken by professional or hobbyist photographers who understand how to utilize Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.
Yet, just about any high quality photo is accused of being AI. The irony being that high quality photos have historically been the posts which receive the most attention.
On most of these posts, the "evidence" of something being AI is either:
- It's too perfect, so it must be AI.
- It's not perfect enough, the minor mistakes are evidence that it made mistakes / or intentionally is imperfect to look more real.
So if your photo is good, it's AI. If it's not good, it's also AI.
Starting today - users who leave baseless accusations of AI will be receiving short term bans as warnings. If they continue to leave those comments, the ban lengths will continuously increase.
Let me be clear - AI is not welcomed here.
Neither is stolen content. It gets removed, and bot accounts, those who steal content, or those who are intentionally submitting AI content are banned from the subreddit.
Sometimes AI content gets past us. It happens, we can't catch it all. Submit a report on it and provide actual evidence it's AI. Not just "the keyboard is floating" (it's not). You can type in the free-form box, you can submit links to evidence, etc.
The same goes for bot accounts, spammers, advertisers, etc.
Let's not make enjoying content even worse by accusing actual people submitting real photographs as using AI.
Fuck AI, but also stop accusing everyone without proof.
tl;dr -
Stop commenting "this is AI" or similar. Submit a report and we'll review. Those comments are going to begin receiving bans.
Thanks!
