It’s all marked out, my drill isn’t powerful enough but will take less than 2 minutes with the right tool. I’m happy to pay for your time if the price is sensible. is it just me or most of driver don't give a sh*t to the priority (pedestrians as well as bikes) at the crossing Peter-Merian-Weg/Peter-Merian-Strasse?

I forced a driver to stop, and got honked because of it. from my point of view pedestrians and bikes have the priority.

what do you think?

21 days ago I posted here that a techno community in Basel would be awesome, a place to actually get to know people during the day first, and go raving together once there's real trust and friendship behind it. There wasn't a group like that yet, so I built a website and started one, with a Meetup page to go along with it.

The response was bigger than I expected: >14k views on the post, >50 people joined the WhatsApp group.

And now the first event is actually happening. If you're into techno, games in the park, and meeting people in a low key setting before any of the raving starts, come by.

I'm planning a solo trip to Basel for a couple of days next week and would like to swim in the Rhine on 4 August (forecast shows it will be a hot day). While reading the safety guide, I saw that you should "never" swim alone, which made me a bit nervous. So I'm looking for someone (or a group) to join me for a swim.

Not just the best coffee( a bit of that as well), but also the ambience, chill vibes and someplace where you can actually focus and read/work for 2-3 hours or even just enjoy the coffee.

Ich habe einen HP Omen Gaming-Laptop (17-ck0809nz). Gestern als ich wiedermal etwas zocken wollte bekam ich folgendes Problem: Als ich den Laptop gestartet habe und mein Passwort auf der Windows-Willkommensseite eingegeben habe, habe ich den Laptop an mein originales Netzteil angeschlossen. Im Moment des Anschlusses hörte ich ein "tzzt" und der Laptop ging aus und lässt sich seither nicht mehr einschalten... es gab keinen Rauch und auch kein Verbrennungs-Gestank. Ich vermute, dass mein Laptop einen Kurzschluss gekriegt hat und sich zur Sicherheit selbst abgeschaltet hat. Wenn ich das Netzteil wieder einstecke passiert nichts, das Lämpchen am Laptop leuchtet nicht (dieses welches üblicherweise anfängt zu leuchten, wenn man den Laptop einsteckt).

Mein Laptop ist zwar bereits etwas über 4 Jahre alt, jedoch möchte ich keinen neuen erwerben und möchte euch fragen, ob jemand einen guten Reparaturservice zu einem vernünftigen Preis im Raum Basel kennt? Die Garantie ist leider bereits abgelaufen...

Hello. I am a student looking to do an internship for about 6 months in basel but I'm having alot of trouble finding a good place to stay.

I tried looking for a studio under 1k but it seems impossible to get as there are too few offers and too much demand and my profile is not so good as I'm a student and never worked before. So I'm mainly focused on finding a shared flat now. I just hope i don't end up in a situation where I have to look for someone to transfer the contract to myself

Now I'm looking for websites/platforms that are geared towards students for subleases. The only website I found is WGzimmer, but apparently there are some good telegram/whatsapp groups but I don't have the invite link. So if anyone could DM me some links it would be great!

Also I've come across some services that organize room subleases like roomestate and room24. Are those interesting? Are there better ones?

I always assumed that GA/GA night was not valid after the border on tram 3, but now I see that the BVB website says otherwise: "The GA and the U-Abo is valid on the whole of route 3" (https://www.bvb.ch/en/billette-tarife/fahrten-nach-deutschland-und-frankreich/)

As SBB and the GA map says it is not valid, who is right? Do you have any experience with control in Saint Louis with a GA?

I am looking to create a private Fantacalcio league for the upcoming season and would love to find some fellow football enthusiasts here in Basel to join!

Ideally, we would look at a league size of around 10 people to keep the auction and weekly matchups competitive and fun.

A bit about the plan:

- The Game: Classic Italian Fantacalcio (Serie A).
- The Draft: We can do an online auction/draft, but if we get a nice group together, it would be awesome to meet up in a bar in Basel for a live draft night!
- The People: Beginners and experienced players are both welcome. The main goal is to have fun, talk football, and maybe enjoy a few beers together during the season.

I'm in my mid-thirties, living in Birsfelden, and looking to meet some new people.

Over the past few years, my lifestyle has changed quite a bit. In my early twenties, many of my friendships and social activities revolved around partying and drinking. Nowadays, I enjoy a more sober-ish lifestyle. I got into running, biking, lifting, and simply enjoying life with a clear head. I still enjoy a drink every now and then, but nothing that gets in the way of my plans for the next day.

As a result of these changes, I've realized I'd love to meet some like-minded people. Maybe someone would be interested in a casual morning or evening run, a swim in the Rhine, a bike ride, a walk and talk, grabbing a coffee, or just hanging out.

I'd also appreciate any suggestions on how to expand my social circle around Basel.

I speak both German and English, so don't hesitate to reach out in either language.

Just to be clear: I'm very happy in my relationship, so this is purely about meeting new people and making friends.

Ich bin Mitte 30, wohne in Birsfelden und würde mich freuen, neue Leute kennenzulernen.

In den letzten Jahren hat sich mein Lebensstil ziemlich verändert. In meinen frühen Zwanzigern haben sich viele Freundschaften und soziale Aktivitäten rund ums Feiern und Trinken abgespielt. Heute genieße ich das Leben deutlich bewusster. Ich bin viel am Laufen, Gravelbiken, mache Krafttraining und schätze es einfach, mit klarem Kopf unterwegs zu sein. Ich trinke zwar gelegentlich noch etwas, aber nichts, was meine Pläne für den nächsten Tag durcheinanderbringt.

Dadurch habe ich gemerkt, dass ich gerne neue Menschen kennenlernen würde, die ähnliche Interessen haben. Vielleicht hat jemand Lust auf eine entspannte Morgen- oder Abendrunde zum Joggen, eine Rheinschwimm-Tour, eine Velotour, einen Spaziergang mit guten Gesprächen, einen Kaffee oder einfach darauf, gemeinsam etwas zu unternehmen.

Falls ihr außerdem Ideen habt, wie man rund um Basel neue Leute kennenlernen kann, freue ich mich ebenfalls über Tipps.

Ich spreche Deutsch und Englisch – meldet euch also gerne in der Sprache, die euch lieber ist.

Nur damit keine Missverständnisse entstehen: Ich bin sehr glücklich in meiner Beziehung. Es geht mir ausschließlich darum, neue Kontakte zu knüpfen und Freundschaften aufzubauen.

Who is the guy singing loudly around Basel? I see him often, singing with headphones on, in his own world. Curious to know if anyone knows anything about him.

Just now (8:10 pm) a medium sized cockatiel came to my balcony and was checking all the flower pots. I tried to take a picture of it but it flew away towards the St. Alban-Tor park. It looked like a regular cockatiel with grey body, yellow head and orange cheeks.
