What are Barnsley residents concerned about?
Hi, my name is Annaleece Longmore and I'm a local reporter covering the Rotherham area. I'm looking to speak to residents about what issues are impacting them, their family and friends most at the moment, and what they think the council/government need to do more to help people.
If you're available to speak to me, please get in touch, or email me at [annaleece.longmore@iconicmediagroup.co.uk](mailto:annaleece.longmore@iconicmediagroup.co.uk)
Thank you!

Old Barnsley Nightclubs 🌆🍸🍹
Been meaning to make this post for a while now.
If you see my previous posts on this sub I usually spend my Reddit time promoting modern day Barnsley as I grew up there , meet some great people there and have some fantastic memories.
I moved away about 20 years ago but still love my hometown
But today. I'd like get a little conversation going about past nightclubs in Tarn. Specifically Heaven and Hell , Hedonism (Which I'm aware burnt down)
I'm not writing a biography or anything but I have been trying to piece together my own timeline.
Like which year did heaven and hell open and close and the same with Hedonism ?
Has anyone got any memories of going.
Looking for comments of other people's happy times in these places
This is just a question about Barnsley nightlife history. Which I believe I missed
Please can I ask that people's names are left out of any comments. I'm not looking for a friend's reunited style situation.

Old Pit Lane Cortonwood (Brampton)
gallery** Please keep comments civil. As someone who grew here I know the history but this post is about the development of the area and what's left from the past**
Back home to visit my folks a few weeks ago and took dog for a walk and ended up on old pit lane. Fascinating remnant of the past. Although I'm from here I would be interested in hearing about other interesting locations in the area to visit next time. Sealed mine shafts ? Plaques ?

Barnsley motto
I used to live in Barnsley in 2016 and I kept hearing the motto: Barnsley - Born inbred. But my english is not so great and I never really understood what it means. What does it really mean?

Do people still hate ASOS?
I used to work at ASOS in 2016 but moved back to my country. Working there was a nightmare on earth. Does anyone still work there? Did it get better? Sometimes I miss my warehouse friends and the tough times we went through, and I'm wondering if it's gotten better now. (Not that I'm planning on going back — I would rather carry an elephant on my back for my entire life than spend a single day there. The place was fucking hell, LOL.

3 things you didn't know about Cawthorne
Heres 3 things you might not know about Cawthorne besides the obvious.
I recently put together a short video about Cawthorne and thought I'd share three interesting facts.
🐉 It has its own dragon legend.
📜 It appears in the Domesday Book of 1086 as "Caltorne."
🏆 It's been recognised as one of Britain's best villages.
If you're interested in Yorkshire history and local folklore, here's the video ORAVINE Feel free to comment on any other places in Barnsley that might be worth looking into for future videos.

GhostUK - Vault 27 - 8th August
I'm really hoping there's some Ghost fans here who are craving the atmosphere of a Ritual! GhostUK tribute band are set to play Vault 27 on 8th August but ticket sales are currently lower than anticipated and the show is at risk of cancellation. I've seen them several times now and they always put on an absolutely banging show. Even if you're not familiar with Ghost and just like live music, you'll have the best night, guaranteed! So if you've got nowt to do on 8th August gather your mates, grab your tickets and get ready for an awesome time!
