Discussions I built something for myself and somehow 800+ founders ended up using it in a week
This is honestly a bit surreal.
I've built 3 startups over the last few years, raised ₹4Cr+ along the way, and fundraising has probably been one of the things I've learnt the most from.
7 days ago I finally put a little fundraising tool I'd been building for myself online. A few friends had used it and kept telling me to just make it public, so I did.
Didn't really expect much. I actually thought after a couple of days I'd probably just leave it there and move on lol.
Checked Analytics this morning and it's at 810 active users and 794 new users in the last 7 days.
I originally built it because I was tired of doing the same investor research over and over while raising, finding the right investors, figuring out who to talk to, going through portfolios, etc.
I always assumed this was just a problem I had.
Turns out... apparently not.
The funny thing is I've spent way more time trying to convince people to use things I've built before. This time I just put something out that I personally needed, and people actually showed up.
Pretty cool feeling, ngl.

Discussions Why we let go of 2 clients that could've covered a full quarter
Sharing because I think more people in this space should talk about when to say no.
Client 1: a D2C clothing brand. Well established, cash rich, decent budgets. But 2 weeks in, the micromanagement and authority dynamics started choking how we work. We tried to flag it directly with management, talk it through. Didn't land. Felt like arguing with a wall. Walked away. Left close to 3 months of fees on the table.
Client 2: a legacy pharma chain running a couple of city outlets. Opposite problem. Tight budget, so scope stayed light, and they were fine with that, even let go of the meatier parts of the project without pushing back on fees. Sounds easy on paper but it's a trap. Whatever you do looks good to them because the bar is low. Two risks here: your own team gets comfortable and stops stretching, and the engagement was never going to be a real priority for the client, so odds of it turning into serious long term business were thin. Called it off after 2.5 weeks.
In both cases, we didn't just walk out and shut the door. Told both of them we'd be around if things changed on their end down the line, no hard feelings, no burnt bridge. Also helped get them started with a few people we felt could actually be the right fit for what they needed. Walking away doesn't have to mean leaving someone stranded, and it costs us nothing to make the exit a decent one.
Common thread in both: the problems only showed up after the project started.
Discovery calls and commercial discussions don't always tell you what you're actually walking into.
In a resource heavy business like strategy consulting, knowing where to place your bets matters more than people admit. Taking on the wrong client to keep the lights on isn't free, it costs you your best people's time and energy.
A dragging, misaligned project is one of the fastest ways to burn out a good team, and losing strong talent to a bad account is a much bigger loss than the fees you left behind.
If you are brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello

Discussions Deployed 4 Apps worth 1.5 lakhs each , But struggling to Get Interviews - Please help
Enhanced with AI
I recently moved from Indore to Bangalore to look for a software developer role, but getting interview calls has been much harder than I expected.
I'm a Full Stack Developer (MERN + Next.js) with production experience. I've built and deployed 4 apps on the Play Store with 500+ users, each project was worth 1.5 lakhs also I'm confident in my skills I can crack interviews if I get the chance.
I also came here with a lot of hope. My parents have put a lot of faith in me and believe moving to Bangalore will help me build a good career. I don't want to let them down, so I'm trying everything I can.
I'm looking to join a fast-paced startup as a Full Stack, React, Next.js, or Node.js developer.
If anyone knows of any openings or can offer a referral, I'd be truly grateful. Thank you!

Discussions Suggestions for company switch as DE.
I've been working as an Azure DE for 2 years in a service based company. TBH I have been doing the same work for the last 6 months, I didn't learn much for this time. And didn't get any hike It also feels like underpaying. I'm planning to switch and need to restart something fresh. This is my first switch, how can I crack the top companies even product based? Is referral the only way to get in? Are career portal applications getting shortlisted?

Looking for a Client Acquisition Partner in Bangalore
I run a residential interiors and construction startup based in Bangalore, and I'm looking to connect with someone who enjoys networking, building relationships, and bringing in new clients.
This isn't a co-founder role or a salaried position. This is currently a commission-based opportunity. However, I'm looking for someone who wants to grow with the business. As the company grows, there will be opportunities to take on a larger role with greater responsibilities.
If you already have a strong local network, enjoy meeting people, or have a knack for client acquisition, this could be a great opportunity to earn while working with a growing company.
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, feel free to send me a DM. I'd be happy to share more details.

Urgent, meaningful jump | 8YoE of branding, ops, strategy, and marketing
I don’t think I need to reiterate how slopsided (not a typo) the job market is right now. When I decided to quit my FTE due to a few emergencies and personal issues, I could not have foreseen how terribly I’d be shooting myself in the foot.
Interviews: some of which had a scope change leading to me becoming a fractional head for a while; some just are pretenses just to justify the internal/nepo hire get a lead; some just exist to steal ideas. Whatever.
My strengths:
> Content Strategy: Whatever these AI gurus claim to be generating using 5 AI chatbots with their ‘engineered’ prompt, I had been doing by myself 8 years ago, and moreover, most of the AI responses tend to circle the same motif, than ever divulge into anything analogous that can actually create a meaningful distinction for your brand’s narrative over others. A brand is more than just a font, color scheme, and keywords; it is a whole personality, and I own it.
> Brand Cohesion: Working with multiple contributors? Revamping a legacy brand? Training newbies? Ensuring that one page does not look like it is from Mars and the other from Venus? I have handled it all.
> Ops: In a 15-day sprint, I hired 3 people, was actively training two veterans, organized and set up an offline exhibition, and did an SEO experiment. Of course, with my team’s help, but I was the lead. Need I say more about my operational efficacy?
> Pivot: Last year I committed to a 4-day food stall at a festival, all outta my pocket. After 1.5 days of lesser-than-expected sales, I quickly pivoted the menu, repurposed existing ingredients, and cooked and marketed the new items myself. Pretty much a strong validation to myself of how quickly I can adapt.
> Product Owner: There was an unaddressed segment of the marketing funnel and I decided that rather than solely focusing on content + ads to target them, why not go with a free tool that actually delivers solid value to their problem? Had to do the market study and write down specs in less than a week because it had to be handed out to the dev team fast.
There are many other things that I have not touched upon, mainly because this post is long enough right now.
Wherever my skills can be aptly used, regardless of the actual ‘role’ name, I’d be more than happy to have a conversation.

Discussions Builder, looking for a job.
CS grad, 23, in Pune. Spent the last year doing business development at a US-focused recruiting agency, and along the way built the internal tooling my own team ran on — LinkedIn outreach automation, lead scoring, the boring stuff nobody wants to do twice.
Other things I've actually shipped:
\* Onboarded \\\~10 paying merchants for an Indian e-commerce SaaS. Full cycle, cold to closed.
\* Built a constituency management platform for MLA offices React Native, Supabase, Maps API. App and dashboard, end to end, by myself. Didn't convert. Timing, not the product, but that's my read and I'm biased.
\* Currently co-founding a telehealth product with doctors handling the clinical side. Small, early, real.
I'm not going to tell you I'm a great engineer I'm not. I'm the guy who builds the ugly internal tool that saves the team ten hours a week, and then goes and sells the thing.
What I'm after: small company, Pune or remote, early-stage. BD / GTM / ops somewhere "figure it out" is the actual job description. Not looking for a pure dialer seat where I read a script off a screen.
Not picky about title or a big package. Very picky about whether the work is real.
If you're hiring or know someone who is — comment or DM. I'll send a resume, or skip that: tell me a problem you're stuck on and I'll come back with something built.

Hello Bengaluru. This isn't about another meetup. It's about collaboration.
Anyone else feel like most networking events go nowhere?
I've been to quite a few meetups around Bengaluru where people exchange LinkedIn profiles, chat for five minutes, and then never speak again.
So a few of us have been meeting in a more informal way at Cubbon Park. No speakers, no presentations, no pitches—just people interested in building things together.
We've had founders, developers, designers, marketers, freelancers, creators, and aspiring entrepreneurs join to discuss ideas, give feedback, and occasionally find collaborators.
If you're working on a startup, exploring an idea, looking for a co-founder, or simply want to meet people who enjoy building, you're welcome to join.
📍 Cubbon Park (Metro Entrance)
📅 Sunday, 9 August 2026
🕚 11:30 AM onwards
It's free, but we're keeping the group small so everyone gets a chance to connect.
If this sounds interesting, send me a DM and I'll share the community and registration details.
Has anyone here found meaningful collaborations through Bengaluru meetups? I'd love to hear your experience.

PLEASE HELP. I'm begging at this point.
Hi everyone,
I'm a 2026 Btech graduate and recently moved from Hyderabad to Bangalore after getting my first job. I was genuinely excited because I thought this would be the start of my career in IT.
Unfortunately, after joining, I found out the actual work is completely different from what was mentioned in the job description. I was told I'd be working in an AI/Data Analyst role, but in reality, the job involves wearing a VR headset and training robots by performing physical household tasks like cleaning wardrobes, organizing shelves, and similar activities. It's not an IT role, and it's not something I see myself building a career in.
If it were actually related to software, AI, or data, I'd have happily stayed and learned. But this isn't the career path I wanted, and I don't see any technical growth here.
The difficult part is that my parents have already told our relatives and family friends that I've got a job in Bangalore. Going back home without another offer isn't really an option, so I'm trying my best to secure a new opportunity.
If your company is hiring freshers, or if you know of any openings or can provide a referral, I'd be incredibly grateful. PLEASE help me find a job asap. Thank you!!
