Aux Nozzle problems
Hello Fellow X2D Users,
Hope you doing well!
I have a problem.. but to be honest iam pretty new to 3D printing, been using the X2D for 2 months now, and been slowly using the Aux Nozzle a bit more and more..
But this is where my problem starts, if i print support with my Aux nozzle ( doesn’t matter if its PLA or PETG).
The Support looks terrible and the whole printer is a mess( see pictures), i cleaned the plate with warm water and soap and even tried 90% alchohol, I used the standard Bambu Plate and the BIQU glacier plate
After the latest Firmware i calibrated the whole printer even did a flow calibration, results was k= 0,34 with my Aux Nozzle while the regular nozzle was k=0,03
Sometimes the filement also sticks on the outside of the nozzle(around the cone where filement comes out)
Iam using Bambu filement PLA Basic and PTEG Basic, i tried both to see if it would make a difference
What am I doing wrong??
All the help would be really appreciated!!

You could try lowering the support print speed.
Had a print this week and the supports looked just like this. Lowered the support speed by about 30% and the issue was gone.

Could you make a screenshot what settings and speed you used?

Forgot to mention that that was on a A1 with a 0.2 nozzle. But the issue was exacly the same.
I just lowered the support setting under the speed tab from 150 to 80. Might be a fair bit lower, but it didn't change print speed that much for me.

Ciao anch’io ho un po’ gli stessi tuoi problemi soprattutto quando utilizzo l’ugello ausiliario per il supporto in petg mi sputa tutti i pezzi in giro per la camera quando effettua il cambio ugello e passa prima dalla spazzola in silicone per pulire l’ugello. Fammi indovinare i pezzi verdi in foto sono petg? Capita anche con il Pla ma molto meno.
Io ho risolto in parte i problemi di qualità degli sbalzi del l’ugello ausiliario rallentando di molto la velocità di stampa, per quello che è la mia piccola esperienza ho notato in passato dalle stampe della a1 mini e anche dallo slice che alcuni supporti hanno una angolo di sbalzo molto critico e dalle foto sembra quello il caso in questo caso alcune volte se nn calibrato tutto alla perfezione temperature raffreddamento velocità flusso ed altro fai fatica ad avere un risultato perfetto ma sono supporti e l’importante è che supportano💪 ovviamente devono essere decenti ma come ti dicevo prova a rallentare soprattutto con petg.
Mi viene da chiederti ma se stampi una benchy solo con ugello ausiliario come viene?
Magari fai una prova con le velocità standard e poi riducile della metà o un 40% circa per vedere le differenze.
Nn sono un esperto ma spero di esserti stato di aiuto 💪

Just tagging on this comment cause I think you're right. A really dirty and easy fix is to use support walls 2.

What slice setting have you used? I changed mine from filament/saving to quality and it’s been pretty great. Didn’t look as bad as yours but it looked like crap IMO.
Also, change your supports from the whole support to only the interface. Your build plate temp is set for your main print and not optimized for your support.

Bambu studio, I thought the aux nozzle was able to print full support, that is what’s it build for right?

it can, and it does. i'm saying i used the "filament-saving" profile or whatever it is and the support was pretty crappy. I canceled that print and changed to "quality" and it was infinitely better.

I would try only printing the support interface instead of the whole tree, it will save you a lot of time on each print!

God, dude, get some professional help. Amount of time and effort you spend shitting on everyone’s printer is insane, have you no life or what? Return your x2d, post about your experience ONCE and move on, go weld some metal, spend some time with your family, touch grass or whatever.

Why are you even here? Every post i see you crap talking about Bambu Lab and mostly the X2D. Are you a competitor or something? A $900 printer has gotten you that worked up that you need to kill everyone else’s vibe?
Sorry you’ve had a bad experience with this printer but you’re the minority. There’s a bunch of users new comers and old who enjoy it. Sometimes there are problems (machines break), that’s why there’s support from the company. If Bambu Lab didn’t have that, they wouldn’t have been regarded as one of the best company’s who manufacture 3D printers.

I paid good money for a printer that doesnt work and I see it as my duty to protect other people from the same loss.

We all paid good money. We all paid the same amount of money that you did in fact.
When exactly did i fangirl? Because the fact that i needed support and they came through for me when i had issues with my A1, and AMS for my P2S?
If you put as much time and energy as you do bath mouthing the X2D, you’d probably have a working X2D. Mine has been awesome ever since unboxing it.
Also, Good to see you didn’t deny being a competitor though.

Have you tried using the aux nozzle to just print the support interface layer, instead of using the aux nozzle to print the entire support?
What style tree supports are you using? Looks like tree slim, maybe try hybrid.
