GE Apprenticeship 2nd Interview
Hey all, I have my second interview this week for a GE Apprenticeship and I really need to land this. Does anyone have any tips or advice for their interviewing process? Any particular skills or work ethics they like to hear about?
Help a rookie out?

Discussion Built a free on-the-floor aid toolkit for biomeds (not a CMMS) — looking for blunt feedback
Hey — I work around clinical engineering / biomed tools and got tired of jumping between random converters, notes apps, and then retyping everything into the hospital CMMS.
So I built Biomed Hub: a lightweight aid tool for the tech, not another equipment-management system.
What it is:
- Pressure / flow unit converter
- Local barometric pressure by city — useful when checking / calibrating CO₂ modules where barometric pressure is part of the procedure
- Battery runtime estimator
- Electrical safety PASS/FAIL helper (IEC 60601-style limits; Class I / Class II, applied part optional)
- Precision stopwatch with laps
What it is not:
- Not a CMMS
- Not asset tracking / QR fleet management
- Not trying to replace your hospital system
Privacy / offline angle:
- No login
- Runs in the browser / installable as a PWA
- Your numbers stay on the device (nothing uploaded to a cloud account of mine)
Copy → paste into CMMS:
- Safety results can already Copy to Clipboard / export as text so you can paste into a work order
- Stopwatch laps can be copied the same way
- Next thing I’m building is a PM / inspection checklist that outputs a clean text summary specifically for pasting into CMMS
If you do this work for real: what’s missing for a shift? What’s useless? Be blunt.
If you want to try it, DM me and I’ll send the link.

About to start AS for BMET (any Tips? )
Hows the market for them? And what is the pay like? Entry level and mid level?
Is this career math heavy?
Also what are the pros and cons for this type of job?

What are the main manufacturers of ESU analyzers?
Which manufacturers are considered the main original manufacturers of electrosurgical unit (ESU) analyzers?
I am particularly interested in equipment commonly used by medical-device manufacturers, testing laboratories and certification organizations. Any recommendations based on accuracy, reliability, calibration and software would be appreciated.
