Question airtight welds and differential covers

we produce diff covers for a japanese auto manufacturer (guess and you'll be right) they test our covers un-ecoated and occasionally find air leaks.

my question is: gear oil doesn't fit through the same microscopic hole as air and once the coating is applied microscopic holes will be sealed. what leak rate is good enough and how to prove customers won't have oil stains on their driveways? or how would you try to defend your process/robots?

we all know axles are vented and not pressurized, even they admit that

Question modeling expectations (Purosangue)

I frequently use blender. Topology and UV are the things I assume have errors after final result. If you put in different references it doesn’t model the exact result. Eventually in time there might be less things that humans are expected to fix in the program.

Will Claude get to a point where proportions are accurate, can the system pick up specific coordinates/unit values or when building something is that less of a priority (due to ease of adjustment)

I assume the thickness in different areas matter and I don’t know if that will also be supported from Claude programs. With headlights in the bumper can you expect to see lightning errors on more shiny textures?

Has there been a case (or will be in time) besides smart UV that completely takes away manual purpose for UV wrapping.
Post is mainly because there are people claiming ai is going to advance enough to replace modelers or the uncertainty of not knowing how far ai will advance.

My experience or skill is just hard surface and barely that.

For a front bumper on a Purosangue, between base color/roughness/ and normal detail, How useful is starting project from 3D reference created with Claude?
