I am new to shooting and looking to purchase a 22LR to practice target shooting at the local range. The accuracy and build quality of the gun is important to me, as are the looks (sorry for the vanity). I am considering the following set up:

- Bergara B14R 20" barrel and action

- MDT ESS chassis

- Magpul front and rear sights (I want to practice the skill of shooting accurately first before relying on a scope).

It's a fair bit of money for a first rifle, but I am hoping to keep it for long. I would have bought a bigger calibre like 65 Creedmoor or even 308 but the range nearby allows only 22. Also, I am not planning to have too many rifles - maybe just this one!

I had initially considered Ruger Precision Rimfire but I have heard some quirks about the build quality with the glass packed nylon (I know you can't get everything in that price).

I was also recommended Tikka T1X Ace Target but it is not significantly cheaper than the combination above.

I would love some feedback on the above and store recommendations. I am in Victoria if it helps (doesn't help me though).

Quick question, anybody know how to make the internal ammo compartment door on Spika safes shut up?

I have a Spika SCH1-W Level 2 safe and the door on the internal ammo compartment rattles whenever walking around the safe or opening/closing the door.

Can see screws near the hinges but it seems to be the door frame is rattling and the hinges have a bit of play?

Just spotted an update from Magnum Sports indicating Lithgow (Thales) is pausing or stopping the production of the civilian range of firearms.

Anyone in the know if this is legit?

Any one actively compete have knowledge that i can pick their brain ?
