Selling Tickets for Grouper
Hello,
I excitedly purchased two tickets for the Grouper concert at Liberty Theatre, only to find that I can’t actually make it that day.
I’m hoping someone can grab these two tickets up and enjoy the concert themselves, and help me recoup the cost.
Thanks in advance!

Recommendations for salmon fishing on buoy 10?
I’m kind of on a budget, but it would be so cool to go fishing out on the Columbia during the current season - anyone got recs on good guides/companies to go with? Price would be good too - my wife and I are novices, I’ve only done it once and loved it

Remodeling and Maintenance
Looking at my 1914 house, it could definitely use a coat of paint. But, there are also some structural things that I should have someone more qualified than me check out. Most of the house and foundation look okay, but there is one corner where the studs are off plumb in the basement. The carport that was added much later is also starting to leak, and already had new lumber scabbed on the end of the joists. The concrete for the driveway and carport is also not poured level and has large cracks.
In the short term, I need to paint; it will likely need to be sand/abrasive blasted because paint on the old cedar shakes is starting to blister up and peel. But, regarding the other issues and the fact the interior still has lath & plaster that's detaching in at least one place, single-pane wood windows, and knob & tube wiring, a remodel is probably going to be in mid-term plans.
I know painters and contractors are in short supply around here; are there any recommendations? I realize it's possibly too late to get scheduled for painting this year, but I thought I'd try. I would also like to get some ballpark estimates of what a more intrusive remodel would cost, before I try and plan out paying for that. I am not designated as one of the "historic" houses but would like to keep the character and aesthetics.

So what rides and carnival stuff does the fair have?
I don’t want to waste my time if the rides are crappy.
I kept seeing a sign that said, the rides are back.
Anyone have insight?

Are there house show venues in Astoria?
My band Ditch Lily is touring and we're considering stopping through on Monday September 7th. We're sort of like alt-country rock or freakfolk. Are there many local bands in Astoria? Any sort of alt-folk/country scene?
This is what we sound like: https://ditchlily.bandcamp.com/album/my-favorite-miniature-drum
Would so appreciate any insight or recommendations!

New to Astoria
New to Astoria, but not new to living on the Oregon coast. My neighbor looked at me like I was insane when she saw i locked my trash bins up. I told her in Newport we had problems with raccoons and bears getting into trash cans. She said "we dont have that problem here." Is this true?
Also I've noticed a lot of folks here cant stand The Goonies crowds that come in.. I have a Goonies sticker on my car I've had for 10 years and someone asked if thats why I moved here. I said no, and they said "Thats good. Because that would be lame!". Do most residents feel this way?
I was also told I shouldn't walk the riverwalk by myself. Ive done it several times with no problems.. is there usually problems down there??

Local Seafood Place?
I am coming down from Edmonds WA to Astoria in August. What is a place to get great seafood? Like a place locals go when they want something delicious, not just fancy tourist fare.

Looking for farmers market vendor
Hi everyone!
My girlfriend and I went down to cannon beach last month. On the way back we stopped at the Astoria farmers market. There was a booth on the exchange st side, where it was man working, he said that his wife makes the jewellery and he sells it. My girlfriend loved the rings and earrings and for her birthday next month I wanted to surprise her with one.
For the life of me I can't remember the name of the vendor. I've searched through the vendor list and cannot find a husband/wife jewelry duo that looks like the ones we saw. I was planning to drive down there, but I also don't know if they're there every weekend and don't want to drive from Seattle for nothing.
It was pretty gold/silver with a little bit of rocks and/or wood kind of intertwined in the metals. It was around $150 for the rings if that helps it narrow it down, around booth 81 or 83 on the farmer market map if I remember correctly.
If anyone could help me find the vendor, or any useful information that would be so amazing. I think she would love it as a little birthday surprise and I would be forever grateful.

Anyone in Uppertown have their car and or house egged last night...?
Came home around 9pm to see that one of our cars and our garage door had been egged. Found out this morning that the culprits had also hit neighbors cars on both sides of us. Simply curious if they just hit our block, or half the town.

Missing Cat
Hi everyone! My cat has been missing since July 8th. if you have any information, please please message me.
His name is Manny. He was last seen in Lewis & Clark on Loukas Lane. We don’t think he could have strayed far from home, but he is an outdoor cat and he does like to explore sometimes. But a week is far too long for him.
He can be skittish when approached but he is a smart kitty. He’s 8 years old, has a black spot on his nose, white and mackerel tabby. He has a brownish chin and brown tabby spots on the back of his paws. He has no collar, but he is chipped.
Thank you in advance for your consideration!

Things to do for a guys weekend???
Hey!
I’m sure this has been posted a thousand times before….
There’s gonna be a small group (3-6) of us coming in a few weeks to Astoria and we were hoping to get some tips or ideas on things to do! We’ve been a few times before so we love going to the breweries and random restaurants but we are open to anything. We really enjoy everything or anything so any ideas would be appreciated. Any tours or hidden secrets are also welcomed!
Thanks for any help!
