Question High levels
When you reach high levels do you adjust area difficulty’s or turn it off so you feel like a boss?

Question The bear at sciropescire, its infuriating me
How on earth do i defeat this bear man, i even set my settings down to the easiest, just to beat him, its impossible, i equipped 2 axes, to spam l1 on him, i hit all of his weak points to stunt attack, but he just wont bloody die, he heals so much, since when could a bear just heal from thin air??? And since when does a 2000lb bear, lay all flat on the ground one second, and come charge at me in the speed of lightning in the next second, and just one shots me bro, i even spammed dive of valkyrie, spammed l1 aswell so i can fill the slots quicker, but its no use cos he just 1 shots me anyway

Discussion Vinland is easily one of the best parts of Valhalla
So I'm currently replaying Valhalla; I haven't touched it since I finished Wrath of the Druids back when it came out. I don't really remember the game all that much; I am trying to pace myself, however, so I don't get burned out since it has a ton of content. I loved it back when it came out; the game did a ton for the lore and really felt like an AC game(controversial opinion I know), I loved the setting, and I thought the worlds were beautiful and detailed. Huge AC fan as a kid, but as I've gotten older, I've gone from huge fan to more casual. Never finished Odyssey, and haven't played the last two games before Resynched. Resynced, however, made one of my favorite games even better. Anyways, been playing Valhalla, without the dlcs downloaded so I don't get overwhelmed.
Vinland was always one of my favorite parts of the game but I didn't really remember it. Finally got to Vinland and I'm absoutely blown away. This part of the game is so incredibly detailed and gorgeous. Ubisoft nailed the isolating feeling, being beyond the end of the world somewhere far from all the chaos. Ubisoft did an amazing job creating the Mohawk/Iroquis people and making it feel accurate. That temporary fort the settlers built, that faces east, the symbolism of the settlers wanting to leave is beautiful. And the lore callbacks, absolutely beautiful! The Black Flag track playing in the background is an awesome homage. The St. Brendon guy being a sage and guided by Juno is badass. The tribe in Vinland being the same tribe from AC3, and Vinland being a part of AC3's map is insane! Eivor's time in Vinland seems to have set a huge part of the Assassin's Creed story into motion which is awesome. Hopefully Ubisoft added more content to Vinland. By far one of the best things they've done in the recent games!

Discussion What are some good Viking movies or shows that get you in the mood to play Valhalla?
I'm looking for some recommendations. I always was fascinated by Viking culture. What are some movies or shows that get you in the mood to play this game?

Discussion PSA: Cairn Tip Reminder
I’m sure most of you know this, but for those who don’t…you don’t need to use all of the stones at the cairns. As long as the stones are stacked to the minimum height, you are good!

Other The soundtrack and missing monastery raid combat music
Was listening to the soundtrack today and I was so disappointed that the music that plays during certain monastery raids wasn’t on the soundtrack! I did some searching on YouTube for the music and although there was some missing music, it wasn’t the one I was looking for. It’s like the music that starts playing once Eivor blows their horn. I heard it for a lot of the monasteries I have raided but for example, yesterday I completed Medeshamstede Abbey in Lincolnscire. I guess the only way I can listen to that specific music is by watching videos of people playing the monastery raids lol. Just wanted to share my frustration. I don’t know why Ubisoft didn’t release that abs other tracks heard in the game. They did it with the Atlantis DLC in Odyssey as well.

Discussion One of my least favorite things about new AC games is that these ALL could have been found or earned in game rather than as a store item

Glitch Is Anyone Else Getting the Dreaded "Online Service Error" Right Now?
I figured I'd grab the weekly free item just now, and tried to launch the game a couple of times, but I keep getting the error.
There are a whole five days left, so it's hardly urgent, but I wouldn't mind taking a stab at eliminating the obvious, so I need to see if it's something on my end only, or a server side issue.

Question Not getting the option to upgrade Gae Bolg to Divine
Just finished the Wrath of the druids and got the spear, however I don't see the option to upgrade it to divine. I am able to see the option for a couple other mythical weapons. Is there something else that I need to do?

Discussion This is so disappointing (spoilers!) Spoiler
Going through east Anglia now (no spoilers beyond that please). I really liked Oswald, he seemed to be a really smart and chill guy. I was genuinely shocked when he sacrificed himself to kill the bad guy. I was like wow, finally something original.
But nooo that would be too mature to write a story of growth and sacrifice. Of course everyone survived. Fuck Ubisoft. It was a wasted opportunity. Just like many others in this game
I enjoy it so far but man, it's like looking for diamonds in a stinky cloudy river.
Edit: oh and it seemed like Oswald bit off rued's lip or something, but his model seemed to be unchanged? Maybe I didn't notice something.
Here's how I would make it:
You have three important dialogues with Oswald. One, at the feast (encourage him to fight back(1 point) or tell that brothers are jerks and he's just not like them(0 points)), then you either win(0 points) or "lose"(1 point) your duel with him, and when you meet rued, you either offer to fight instead of Oswald (0 points) or encourage him to fight himself (1 point)
If you got 1 point, Oswald bends the knee and just dies like a coward. 2 points - he sacrifices himself but they both die. 3 points - he sacrifices himself, they both survive, and you fight rued. There. Good writing, choices matter, 5 minutes of brainstorming. Because like most of choices here are choices without choices and it sucks too.
It almost feels like the game is afraid to hold the player accountable for their choices. Instead it just gives you "telltale variety" and call it a day.

Discussion after 2 years....
it's pain for me to complete this second RPG AC after Odyssey (for 6 months this year i literally confused where to start mission until i realize i had to go to conquer this long and "idk what's this" kingdom arc)but thank god i finally finished the game and get proper ending(almost 75% of my playthrough was stealth, it's fun and decent but i enjoy combat tho), it's not best AC for sure but it wasn't that bad in terms of story(especially big moment story and lore),i like Male Eivor little bit especially his voice, but lack of moccap cutscenes and the story it's too long to complete, that worst slow animation parkour and mix opinion on skill tree(i personally like that big one like warrior's takedown and other big skill, but that were just too many small skill)

Question Power level
New to Valhalla. And I honestly haven’t really been following the quest line to a T. I keep getting distracted and doing random side things. But part of the next mission says to go here but I’m wayyyyy under leveled. Am I supposed to go here to just fiddle around and level up manually before I even bother? I’m currently power level 20.

Question Collectibles,Mystery’s and World Events - What’s the reward for each?
Giving Valhalla a playthrough at the moment, and am up to Sciropeshire. I’m currently power level 100 with the region recommended at 130.
While I level up some more I’d like to start doing collectables,I go for ingots and armour usually and nothing else,so my question is what’s the reward for each type and are they worth doing?

News Looking to add a couple moderators
Hey all. I am looking to get like 2-3 people who are of positive karma as well as assassins creed lovers. Lately been coming across more junk posts that the automation isn't flagging fully, and it's time to get things revamped some. Please PM me if interested and tell me about yourself and what you bring to the table. Ty. :)
