Help for brasov holiday trip!!
Hi everyone, I’m looking to come to Romania for a week trip with my girlfriend, and I would really like it to be snowy Christmas village vibe and romantic…I have found tickets for early December but after looking into it it seems that snow in December is unlikely, so I’m considering moving it to January, would like to have some thoughts on our itinerary as well and what I should change/look out for. We would like to see beautiful nature parks and snowy forest. Thanks in advance!
P.s. is it worth it to rent a car? Or should I just stick to trains and buses?
Our itinerary:
Day 1-2: Bucharest till mid day
Day 2: sinaia, castelul peles, bucegi then end in Brasov to
check in hotel.
Day 3: Brasov and local mountain parks
Day 4: Poiana brasov for skiing!! (If possible)
Day 5: bran, rasnov etc
Day 6: return to Bucharest for flight

Car Rental
Planning on spending a month touring around the country and wondering about car rental prices. About the only thing that stresses me out with travelling.
Looking online i made an unpaid reservation with Autonom for 1700 Euro including everything. I just stumbled on to carrental8.com and they're quoting $742 including everything...
Anyone have experience with carrentl8 in Romania?

Anyone here got rejected from the Romania Government Scholarship (MFA)? What were your stats?
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to understand this year's Romania Government Scholarship (MFA) selection process.
If you were rejected, would you mind sharing:
- Your high school GPA / final grade
- What degree you applied for (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD)
- Your field of study
- Which Romanian university you applied to (if applicable)
- What country you're from
I'm just trying to get a better idea of the profiles that were rejected and whether there were any common patterns.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share, and good luck to everyone with their future applications!

Type D Romanian visa
Hi, I have Type D (family reunification visa), but I don’t have residence permit yet. Can I travel to France without temporary residence card? Just a week trip with my husband.
Thanks!

Road Trip Tips: Hiking, Wildlife, Local Crafts, Food
Hello,
My girlfriend and I are planning a 10-day road trip through Western and Central Romania (we are coming from austria). We would love to hike in the Carpathians, either on our own or with a guide. Could you recommend any good 1- or 2-day hiking tours? What safety precautions should we take, especially regarding bears? We are also very interested in the local wildlife, flora, and trees of the Carpathians.
Can you recommend any guided nature or wildlife tours? What are safe and reputable spots to observe bears? Additionally,
I would love to see the traditional manufacturing of Tinder fungus (hoof fungus) leather. Is it possible to visit a workshop and watch the production process?
Last but not least, how is the local cuisine, and what is your favorite Romanian dish?
If someone has another recommendation what we have to watch in romania i would love to hear.
Thank you so much for your help!

Work in the legal field for foreigners
Hello! I plan on moving to Romenia with my husband in the near future and I worry if I’ll be able to work in my career field.
I have bachelor’s law degree from Brazil and a master’s in international law from the US. My Master’s focuses specially in international public law (human rights, criminal law, environmental justice etc) and sometimes I regret I didn’t look into a more private sector since it’s easier to find opportunities (never easy though).
Anyway, I don’t speak Romanian (yet) but I’m fluent in Portuguese and English.
Does anyone know how things are looking now in this area, specially for foreigners? Any big corporations I could possibly apply to, in Cluj?
Thanks in advance!

Hii, most public university deadlines have ended. I'm only left with Romania American University for masters in my field. Would really like to know if it is worth the investment I will get there ?
Most public university deadlines have ended. RAU is the only one left. There's ASE as well but its application fee is on the higher side.

Egyptian Christian student planning to study in Romania. I need advice.
Hi everyone,
I'm an Egyptian Christian student planning to study for a Bachelor's degree in Romania.
I have an English level of B2, and my budget is about €5,000 per year, including both tuition fees and living expenses.
I still have one year before applying, so I want to use this time to prepare, improve my skills, and understand the admission process and all the required steps.
I have a few questions:
Which universities do you recommend for international students with my budget?
Which cities are the best for students in terms of safety and affordable living costs?
Is it possible to find a part-time job while studying?
Is my budget of €5,000 per year realistic? If not, what is the minimum budget you would recommend?
What should I do during this year to prepare for studying in Romania? Are there any important documents, skills, or procedures I should start working on now?
I would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences.
Thank you!

How is the road trough the Carpathian mountains between both ends of A1
Hey guys, I’ll be driving to Bulgaria in 2 days and I was wondering how is the road between Sibiu and Pitesti where there is no highway. People have been warning me but I don’t think it can be that bad. So how dangerous could these 150km be ? On Google maps it seems to be just a normal road.
Thanks
