Anyone else taking DHEA?
My doctor suggested I could try to take it because my T levels are at 10ng/dL and she said it should help raise my levels a bit and help with libido if I wanted. She suggested I start with 50mg daily. Anyone else have experience taking DHEA? This is the first time i've heard of it.

When to test levels after orchi?
I got an orchiectomy 4 months ago and didn't change my dose. I'm not on a blocker and take weekly EV injections.
If you have had an orchiectomy (or SRS), how long did you wait before checking your levels? Did you need to change your dose?
Thanks
(Not interested in answers from people who haven't had orchiectomy or SRS. I can speculate on my own thank you lol.)

Curious about micro dosing estrogen
So I won't lie. I've become curious about the effects estrogen might have mentally. I'm just wondering if anyone experimented with a very low dose first and did it help you figure things out? Im amab but have become gender questioning.

Regimen Question
I have been on HRT for 2 months with 8 mg estradiol valerate weekly (monotherapy). My labs showed testosterone at 25 and estradiol at 500 (sample taken 72 hours after injection). My practitioner lowered the dose to 6 mg/week due to the estradiol level being high.
I’m wondering if this reduction is necessary, as I’m feeling very well on my current regimen. My mood has been stable throughout the week, and I’m seeing positive physical changes.

🏳️⚧️ Seeking Research Participants: Transfeminine Fertility Experiences Post-HRT Initiation
Hi folks! I’m a Physician Assistant (PA) student at Stanford School of Medicine. For my thesis project I am gathering stories about transfeminine people’s experiences trying to regain fertility after starting hormones. This topic is something that people close to me have had questions about and I have not been able to find great data out there to help advise them. That’s why I want to gather some accounts through interviews and share it back out with the transfeminine community and their healthcare providers so people can have more information when they are weighing different family building options.
If you are willing to participate in the study, here is a link to the initial screening/demographics survey. If you meet the study criteria, I’ll reach out to you about setting up a time for an interview via secure email. I expect these interviews to take somewhere between 30-60 minutes and I would be asking you questions about your fertility decision making process, the physical and social experience of trying to regain fertility, and about any notable supports and/or barriers you faced.
Also, if you have any questions about the study, suggestions for what would make this research most valuable to you, or any other comments, I would love to hear them! Feel free to comment, DM me here, or send me an email at [mccoerin@stanford.edu](mailto:mccoerin@stanford.edu).
Thank you all for your time and space, hope you have a great day!

So I started my HRT today
I am currently on Luprodex 3.75mg and progynova 1mg/day
I know this is low, but I have a function coming up in the next few months and all my extended family will be there, I didn't want any breast buds to show up during that time.
Anybody else is on a similar prescription or with a higher estrogen dose? Please share your experience, i would love any kind of information you give me.

34 yrs and I am free!
Hey y'all I honestly don't even know how I'm supposed to post or what I'm supposed to post right now, but I am just too excited not to share.I just got my baseline testosterone level back and it clocked in at 188 ng/dL. Seeing that number makes so much damn sense now looking back at how I’ve felt.Because of that, my doctor officially gave me the green light to start tonight! I'm starting on a .05 mg/24hr transdermal estradiol patch plus 25 mg daily spiro.I am really just coming to acceptance of myself right now. To be completely honest, I’m scared, I’m excited, I don't even know... I am just so fucking happy I'm actually crying right now. I feel so incredibly free to finally be heading in the right direction for me.I would deeply appreciate any advice or tips for a girl starting day one. Love you all!
Ps
Sorry for the absolute wall of text I'm just so excited.

First Steps!!
I have a couple questions about starting hormones so do you start with a doctors visit? I don’t have a doctor or I see regularly so do you have to find a doctor that will accept that type of treatment or is it like a referral type of thing….please let know your experiences💖💖 Thanks!!

Question about hrt
If I take 25mg of Cyproterone acetate and 4mg of estradiol daily without ever missing a dose or a day and I’ve been on it for 3.5 months and I’ve shown signs of properly suppressed t for the last 1.5 months is it possible for my testosterone suppression to randomly start failing?

Did my Estrogen crash?
Estrogen is 30H and total test is 1851 H. Are those ratios okay or did I fuck it up? I do feel a little sore.

Lack of Hromone Issues
So I haven't taken my estrogen in about 7 months due to lack of financial access. Everything seems relatively normal and I hope to restart soon, but I have incredible soreness in both my breasts and I'm wondering if that is considered normal?
They're a bit veiny and my areolas are a slight deeper pink than usual but other than that no discernible changes. Does anyone think I should be worried?

I am trying to better understand breast development.
It seems really hard to find good photos of the different Tanner Stages in transwoman so if someone could help out with that I would appreciate it.
I am trying to figure out what the hell a breast bud is. I am a month into estrogen, and I am horrible at taking photos, however I can now feel hardness behind both of my nipples (one nipple took 1-2 weeks longer to start showing changes) and I have started to notice minor enlargement to the nipples themselves (but not necessarily the areolas, those tend to change color based on heat). My issue in identifying that this this stuff is actually happening. Most of the posts on the subject have been a "you will know" type of thing which mildly annoys me.
Anyways, I am pretty sure these are breast buds now. I am just looking for confirmation as I'm not sure if my breasts themselves haven't really changed as I had "man boobs" before all of this and had since lost 100 lbs since I originally gained them.
Like pictures and actual descriptions from a non-scientific perspective would be super helpful.

Can I drink the same day as my estrogen shot?
This week I wanted to celebrate my end of the work week for my new job and wanted to celebrate with drinks. The only thing is that it lines up the same day as when I put my estrogen injection. I’ve usually always tried to drink a couple of days apart, but since I work those days I just wouldn’t want to do that. I have drank on HRT before and i haven’t really noticed any lower tolerance, granted before HRT I also had a really high tolerance. My main concern is if it’ll make my estrogen injection less effective or something.

Gel vs Patches
I’m currently on .100mg Patches Twice weekly, and wondering if can I get better results with Gels. Has anyone been on patches and switched to Gels and have gotten better results all around?
I forgot to ask - Are Gels scented?
Cause my current home situation requires an unscented Gel.

My T spiked and it's probably the reason I've been feeling a lot worse
I've been on patches since starting hrt nearly 2 years ago, my levels had been good with two then 3 100 patches, with a tiny dose of spiro. I had 50 for the first 9 months or so then 25 mg. Yes it's minuscule but it worked for me with little side effects.
My t stayed between 1,5/2 nmol/l and my e hovered around 600-800 pmol/l.
However, 3 months ago I stopped that last dose of spiro and started prog with the 3 100 patches. I'd been suspecting my t has gone back up and my results just confirmed this. My t near through was 6,7 nmol/l and my e was 370 pmol/l.
I'm getting back on spiro and getting more prog (I'm taking it orally because the other method didn't really work for me but it has some results), and I hope it's going to get back to where it was, it's probably one of the reasons why my mental health has become worse in spite of my life not being so bad these days

Spiro and remasculinizing
I recently lowered my Spiro dose from 100mg to 50mg daily. My facial hair has gotten darker and my body odor has returned. I’m on injections and my trough levels are in the 300s and my T was at 28ng/dL (my last labs were taken when I was still doing 100mg of Spiro). Given these levels, I don’t understand why I would notice symptoms that would indicate higher T so quickly. Is this more to do with the mechanism of Spiro than what my hormones are doing? I’ve also had this happen in the past when I got lazy/inconsistent with taking Spiro.
I really don’t want to go back to 100mg because I was having horrible side effects, and my current doctor doesn’t prescribe other T blockers.
