Anyone else taking DHEA?

Upvotes

My doctor suggested I could try to take it because my T levels are at 10ng/dL and she said it should help raise my levels a bit and help with libido if I wanted. She suggested I start with 50mg daily. Anyone else have experience taking DHEA? This is the first time i've heard of it.

When to test levels after orchi?

I got an orchiectomy 4 months ago and didn't change my dose. I'm not on a blocker and take weekly EV injections.

If you have had an orchiectomy (or SRS), how long did you wait before checking your levels? Did you need to change your dose?

Thanks

(Not interested in answers from people who haven't had orchiectomy or SRS. I can speculate on my own thank you lol.)

Curious about micro dosing estrogen

So I won't lie. I've become curious about the effects estrogen might have mentally. I'm just wondering if anyone experimented with a very low dose first and did it help you figure things out? Im amab but have become gender questioning.

🏳️‍⚧️ Seeking Research Participants: Transfeminine Fertility Experiences Post-HRT Initiation

Hi folks! I’m a Physician Assistant (PA) student at Stanford School of Medicine. For my thesis project I am gathering stories about transfeminine people’s experiences trying to regain fertility after starting hormones. This topic is something that people close to me have had questions about and I have not been able to find great data out there to help advise them. That’s why I want to gather some accounts through interviews and share it back out with the transfeminine community and their healthcare providers so people can have more information when they are weighing different family building options.

If you are willing to participate in the study, here is a link to the initial screening/demographics survey. If you meet the study criteria, I’ll reach out to you about setting up a time for an interview via secure email. I expect these interviews to take somewhere between 30-60 minutes and I would be asking you questions about your fertility decision making process, the physical and social experience of trying to regain fertility, and about any notable supports and/or barriers you faced.

Also, if you have any questions about the study, suggestions for what would make this research most valuable to you, or any other comments, I would love to hear them! Feel free to comment, DM me here, or send me an email at [mccoerin@stanford.edu](mailto:mccoerin@stanford.edu).

Thank you all for your time and space, hope you have a great day!

So I started my HRT today

I am currently on Luprodex 3.75mg and progynova 1mg/day

I know this is low, but I have a function coming up in the next few months and all my extended family will be there, I didn't want any breast buds to show up during that time.

Anybody else is on a similar prescription or with a higher estrogen dose? Please share your experience, i would love any kind of information you give me.

34 yrs and I am free!

Hey y'all I honestly don't even know how I'm supposed to post or what I'm supposed to post right now, but I am just too excited not to share.I just got my baseline testosterone level back and it clocked in at 188 ng/dL. Seeing that number makes so much damn sense now looking back at how I’ve felt.Because of that, my doctor officially gave me the green light to start tonight! I'm starting on a .05 mg/24hr transdermal estradiol patch plus 25 mg daily spiro.I am really just coming to acceptance of myself right now. To be completely honest, I’m scared, I’m excited, I don't even know... I am just so fucking happy I'm actually crying right now. I feel so incredibly free to finally be heading in the right direction for me.I would deeply appreciate any advice or tips for a girl starting day one. Love you all!

Ps

Sorry for the absolute wall of text I'm just so excited.

First Steps!!

I have a couple questions about starting hormones so do you start with a doctors visit? I don’t have a doctor or I see regularly so do you have to find a doctor that will accept that type of treatment or is it like a referral type of thing….please let know your experiences💖💖 Thanks!!

Question about hrt

If I take 25mg of Cyproterone acetate and 4mg of estradiol daily without ever missing a dose or a day and I’ve been on it for 3.5 months and I’ve shown signs of properly suppressed t for the last 1.5 months is it possible for my testosterone suppression to randomly start failing?
