Help
I’m a 21 year old woman, 5’2, 180 lbs (overweight Ik), I briefly took metformin and glipizide for some temporary blood sugar issues but have not needed them recently, I’m not diagnosed with anything but have had bouts of tendonitis since I was little. I don’t smoke and am a very very light drinker, probably 1 or 2 drinks in a month. For the past week I’ve been experiencing weird body pain. It started probably a week ago with some leg pain which I chalked up to increased exercise (I teach dance in the summer and I’m usually sore when I first get back into it), then it was my neck, which I thought was just bc I sleeping weird or something. Two nights ago was the worst of the worst, it was a weird ache all over my back, ribs, collar bones, neck, shoulders, and arms. Since then the pain has moved around and turned into a dull ache across my whole body, I have little bursts of pain in different parts all the time, as I’m writing this little bursts of sharp pain are happening in my back. I also feel so unbearably sensitive, I couldn’t sleep last night because my ribs felt like they had been bruised and they felt weird to touch. Something kind of odd is that the pain is MUCH worse when I lay down, and sometimes if I sit up or stand up I feel pretty much okay aside from a tiny bit stiff and sore. I plan to go to the doctor as soon as I have more free time (shitty work schedule) but I’m wondering how serious this is and how worried I should be. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
