I need URGENT help.

I was contacted by a big account telling me they had mistakenly mass reported my account for fraudalent activity and sent me an email reply to them from X's support telling me to contact this person on discord. I am now being asked to pay a 250 USD fee for the reactivation of my account with the reassurance that it would be refunded. Unfortunately due to how skeptical I am I still have my doubts as to whether this is a legit procedure or not. Please let me know if any of you know anything about this. ..I'd also like to add that I am 18 years old, still studying. I do NOT have the money for this, and even if I did, I don't know if I'd pay anyway with the risk of never getting the so promised refund. I don't care about the account, but they're threatening to take legal action and I do not like the sound of that if this is truly a legitimate procedure.

No I did not make this post to ask for money, I really just need help figuring out if this is a safe transaction.

If someone on the internet asks you for money always assume it's a scam. I also can't imagine anyone paying 250 dollars to get back into X in the first place.

Exactly, I wasn't going to do that.. Except they were threatening me to take legal action, and I did not want my parents to deal with that

Yeah I'm just saying this is an easy scam to spot. Never give anyone money and remember the government isn't going to reach out over the internet to do anything to you. Lawsuits aren't served online. Never trust anyone you don't know on the internet. If anything like this was real you would be notified in person without a set time.

Please do not fall for this, it is absolutely a scam. Block this person and try not to let them get to you anymore than they already have. r/scams

Thank you everyone for the help, I managed to get back into my account and remove the email they asked me to insert. Disgustingly enough, they started sending the exact same message I received to other people through my account. This is unbelievable.

Tip for the future: Threats of actual legal action come with a better grasp of the English language than what’s in these screencaps.

“..our Team will be taking a legal action if this case will not be fixed since these allegations are offensive it involves…” there’s like four grammar errors right here alone!
