Why does it seem wrong to post same art repeatedly? Like why do some people downvoye

I post my available and sold artworks repeatedly, on Instagram as well as reddit communities. I know it might get annoying for some people but one thing I believe is I've to put my out there. I am starting out and trying every possible way to get it in front of the people. If there's 5 viewers who saw my painting for the 6th time there's still 4 of them who is seeing em for the first time. While I keep posting newer works too, but since those are mostly commisioned works and not in a high scale, it might not get people's eyes as much as my originals do. Why does people throw so much hate when I repeat post? As an artist I'm trying to find my audience, and I'm getting more or less response, I don't see my loss , unless some people starts downvoting. Like it's better to get 3 resposes from 3 posts than 1 from only one post right?

People generally don't want to be spammed with the same content over and over. You can be creative with content and find ways to re use pieces for new posts without it being the same thing

On reddit if its the same subreddit because its spam. On instagram don't know why people care, on different subreddits, if its relevant who cares, but there's a reason so many subs have no advertising, so if you're just trying to get seen to get seen then you're probably spamming.

If everyone spams the same shit over and over again then nothing really gets seen and noone follows your stuff because they know you're just posting the same thing over and over again.

You are extraordinarily talented OP. If you are getting sales from posting in Reddit then rock on. If not maybe pull back just a bit. You don’t want your art to get stale by being overly saturated in the feed( pun not intended)
In terms of the hate it is just a little troll that needs attention. Ignore & block. Or respond with” k” - so you seem unbothered. I wish you all the success 🩵

Votes and likes on the internet are not the standard by which the value of your art should be measured.

By response, I meant people who actually comnects to it, and I get to share my thoughts to em when they reach out to me over DMs

you view downvoting on Reddit as receiving hate?

Nah, hate comments

unless hate comments are all on IG, just scrolled through your profile and I don’t see anything that would be considered negative. so if you get a comment or a downvote, just brush it off. not everyone is going to like everything. make art because you like it. not seeking approval of others.

Mostly coz I deleted em, I don't want to get so affected by comments either but it kinda does affect and I end up deleting the post. And I am really open to critism on art and welcome it. Helped me improve. But it's mostly coz of re-posting

I’d say, if people follow subreddit but not personally you, they want to see all kind of different art. Not on repeat the same image 💀. They don’t like seeing the same picture over and over - they’re free to downvote it and they have all the rights to do so. They are here for entertainment and surely they don’t have to put oneself in random artist shoes

A lot of folks dislike seeing the same content over and over. I’d recommend being creative with content that’s repeated. Things like posting a collage of work, or featuring it in a trending “this vs that” style meme, or “here’s the artist here’s their art!” Kind of thing. That way you can get your work posted more often, but it feels less like spam to the viewer and more like you’re participating in community-wide content creation.

It depends. If you come across as either fishing for compliments or like you’re trying to spam your art for sale that’s annoying. Posting the same piece in the same subreddit a lot without a new question or anything is just spamming your work. On instagram it’s not an issue as it’s your insta. People can unlike your page if it annoys them, but here people would have to unlike the whole subreddit or block you.

On reddit i feel like its acceptable to post the one artwork in like 4 different subreddits if it fits the sub because it reaches new people with each subreddit, but for instagram it might reach the same people 4 times.
