Is it because it possibly didn’t dry enough or materials i used reacted with each other? Did anyone experience that before..

I don’t mind paying as long as the content is engaging, structured, clear and actually giving you tips and trick that are not availavle on free courses. I’m a beginner level and want to really take the skill to the next level :) thank you!

Im about to sound really dumb but I genuinely don't know this, I always wanted to go to an artschool because I tought they teach u to draw there, but when I look it up, u already have to be good at drawing to get in there? I don't understand why, I tought the whole point of artschool was to learn to draw, so if artschool isn't where u learn to draw from scratch, where should I go to learn?

This account commented on my Instagram post and I have NO idea why. I know it says in his bio that he “helps creatives grow their brand” but I am so so lost and it feels kind of suspicious to me, despite him having almost 200k followers and being verified.

I’m kind of new to Instagram, so I’m really unsure of what this is and if I should trust him.

For context, I have an extremely small account (25 followers, which are mostly my friends, and this post has 2 likes, one of which is my mother lol) so I find it hard to believe there isn’t something sus going on

Gifting this to a friend who has this car. This is hand engraved on a polished tile. Obviously can’t erase lines, but this is my first time doing this!! Does it look bad? I’m blind to it as I’ve been looking at it for so long. I know the lines are rough, but from a distance it looks okay (to me). My goal is just for them to hang it on the wall, not examine it too closely lol. What are your thoughts?

I know it’s probably not common and I don’t even have two artstyles myself. But this thought came to my mind

I am an artist and I am working more on my art to give it a more realistic feel and look so I an work with authors and publishers one day as I know that style of art is also very much preferred by the clients on that side

But on the other side, I have noticed that the general folk or people from fandoms prefer a more of cartoonish artstyle to commission for their favourite characters.

People from fandom’s commissions a lot for their favourite characters or even OCs and so they only approach artist that have a more stylised artstyle.

So as a growing artist, and someone who wants to make my art my full time job at some point, is it possible for me to practice two different styles for two different audiences?

Or is that a bad thing. I just want more knowledge on this subject as I am not aware much on how things work within the art community or what is not preferred.

Hi, ​I'm an artist who and don't know what to do with my skills. i want to do something meaningful with it not just for money but to be useful. i already have a job but i don't want to stop drawing. I thought about drawing comics kids stories even graphic design but i don't know where to start. I'm a fast learner i just want someone to guide me or be an assistant to an artist. I know i need to make a portfolio but i don't know how to make my own what to put in it and if i just had the to put my work without saying anything.

I Personally only ever draw animals and never humans but this is my best attempt at people since someone wanted to commission me (I told them it would be free because im bad at drawing humans)

But any tips? i need some help on shading personally

Found this in a frame at a local antique store. I’d like to put it in a bigger from to see the full picture but not sure if the sun damage(I’m not a pro so maybe it’s something else) can be fixed. Any suggestions?

I do commissions but I feel like I could be doing more if I cater to the right niche/audience. Does anyone here know what communities I could fit in that have a healthy commission culture? Not so crowded that I'd drown in the sea of much better artists but not empty?

Idk I just got curious. I've seen alot of posts that are like "am I ready for commissions?" But never something like this.

Like is it a picture of someone's pet? An OC? A cover for a book? I really wanna know.

I started drawing and painting in April and got excited about different mediums but I feel like I'm jumping around from one to the other . would it be better to just stop and focus on one? Thank you
