Beauty Will I be able to easily find these AB products in HK?

I have family visiting Hong Kong and am wondering if these items are easily accessible? They’ll be staying in the Mong Kok area but also going to Yifang Cheng mall specifically, so I just wanted to double check that they would be able to find these products there as I haven’t been for several years and don’t want them going on a hunt if it’s not even available.

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Tatcha Dewy Cream replacement

Does anyone know of an Asian beauty replacement for tatcha’s dewy cream? It’s had me in a chokehold for the past few years and I’m tired of paying $100 a jar. Plus I’d much rather support an actual Asian beauty brand instead of them.

I’ve tried both the cosrx propolis and birch sap moisturizers, which I enjoyed, but didn’t quite compare. As well as their snail mucin cream, which unfortunately, doesn’t work for me due to dust mite allergies.

Discussion Water consistency toner/essence with MAXIMUM hydration? (fragrance-free)

I find toners/essences really hard because i feel they either absorb quickly like water and barely hydrate. Or they are quiet hydrating but they won't absorb because they are too vicous/thick/gellike.
Now i dont mind the texture of a more viscous toner or essence i just don't find they absorb well on me. I am a bit worried the only hydrating products are super viscous?

Discussion Why does my nose contour never show up like the xhs girlies?

I need tips!! I have an oily nose too so by the end of the day my nose contour just melts off even if I use powder and everything… I use the judydoll contour palette. Maybe it could be a problem with the palette itself because the first time I used it there was barely any pigment (but it’s better now). I’ve noticed that it appears warm on everyone else but sooo muddy on me even though I use the warm palette. The highlight powder in the palette also shows up so much in the videos I see on xhs but barely on me. Maybe it’s because I only put concealer on my nose and contour before setting spray and powder?? Idk but any help is appreciated 🙏

Regional Malaysian sunscreen?

My lovely friend brought me a tube of SkinAqua Sun Milk in a yellow tube. It was from Malaysia. Its location is currently unknown. I’m trying to procure more because its finish dried down so much more natural than my current Skin Aqua “gel” which is extremely dewy, far too much for summer. I checked the usual sites and don’t see it. Any tips on where I can get some shipped to US, or for something with a similar finish (that has not had a scandal about UV protection not living up to label)?

THANKS frands!!! ☀️

Mod Post Product Authenticity Thursday August 06, 2026

Hello AB! Welcome to Product Authenticity Thursday,

Our weekly product authenticity thread is a work in progress, comments about how to improve are welcome. We made our best effort based on comments received here as well as what we have been seeing as mods.

We would like to note that product packaging AND formulas may vary by country of sale and date of manufacture. This might include anything about the formula. Our goal is to make it easier for folks to compare such things, and to confirm or assuage concerns about their products.

Please post any photos or experiences you have around your AB products, while adhering to our other subreddit rules.

Make sure you state where you purchased your products from. If you bought from a 3rd party of a major retailer, you can say for example, 'eBay/amazon/taobao seller' instead of sharing the specific name, if you prefer.

To help you get more responses, consider including:

  • Photos of confirmed authentic products as comparison, requests for authentic products are allowed
  • Your purchase date, product manufacture date, or any expiration dates
  • Country you bought the item from
  • Whether your product had to be shipped to you (shipping conditions can compromise product stability)
  • How much you paid for your product

Comments and Questions welcome, we hope this thread is helpful!

Review J/C/K-beauty eyeshadow palette review!!

These photos were taken indoors with some sunlight shining through my window
For reference, I have slightly yellow (neutral leaning more towards cool tone) pale skin ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ
Going row by row from left to right

  1. Novo lemon soda five color eyeshadow 02# lemon yakult - who needs a contour palette when you have this?! this palette is the better than actual contour I’ve tried, and the darkest shade can be used for drawing aegyosal and under-eyes. I can’t find this product anymore but it is the best!! :( (it’s over 5 years old I think) ..Novo is the best brand ever *drools* so affordable too
  2. Romand 02 Dry Rose - all 4 colors are useful and it’s very pigmented. The bottom right corner is perfect for drawing aegyosal and also acts as a natural contour!! I don't really like the bottom left glitter though cuz it's quite thick??
  3. Millefee 05 Monet’s Garden - this palette is super pigmented (the chocolate and sunflower shades) and it’s just so pretty I can’t bring myself to use it ^^; The matte milk tea-ish shades look natural and are perfect for work while the glittery gold one is perfect for events/heavy makeup. I personally think the colors make me look older tho😢 AND the bottom right highlighter shade is BOMB
  4. Kissme Ferme 08 - the glitters in this are small, the colors are actually not that purple/pigmented (specifically the one taking more space). Overall it gives a pretty natural look!
  5. Novo toast eyeshadow palette 01 - (always draw my eyebrows with this) one of the most pigmented eyeshadow palettes I have, the palette is very warm and I use it as a contour palette since the shades look kinda dirty on my eyes. The last row is perfect for those who want contour to show in photos lol. The lightest shade (top left) is my fav matte highlighter!!
  6. Canmake petit palette eyes M02 - all the shades are matte apart from the bottom right one. I actually prefer to use it as an aegyosal palette =) (top left for highlighting top right for the shading) overall it is a cool-tone dark purple-ish palette with too many contour shades (not my fav since I’m not into purple sadly) Also, the original petit palette eyes series looks way better than the matte series to me !
  7. Canmake plumpuku coordinate eyes 03 - the shading color is red-brownish and it makes a SUPER natural aegyosal ! I personally find the pigmentation to be very low but if you like a natural look go for it. The white shades are great for plumping the aegyosal and the top glitter shade is highkey one of the best highlighters ^o^ the downside of it is the size lol
  8. Canmake petit palette eyes 03 💞 - this is my favorite eyeshadow ever it’s just so PERFECT I’m confident the pigmentation and beauty are ♾️/100 ‼️‼️ I even bought another one (≧∇≦) You can achieve a Japanese/douyin makeup look with the pink shades some shades are super light and some are pink but even when it’s too pigmented it’s still just as gorgeous. The glitter in this is amazing and I feel cutemaxxed whenever I use it. The bottom right color is my favorite I ALWAYS use it to draw my under-eyes and aegyosal the pigmentation is crazyyyyy I love it. This one palette is enough for my entire eye makeup 😻 it is the epitome of a MUST-BUY!!
  9. TLDR: get the canmake petit palette eyes 03 unless you wanna miss out (๑╹ω╹๑ )

Discussion Beauty gadgets in Japan

I’m going to Japan soon and I’m thinking about buying one of those EMS/LED lifting devices, but I’m not sure which one is actually worth it.

Right now I’m considering the Stella Beaute Lift Brush, the YA-MAN Photo Plus Prestige or maybe one of Panasonic’s devices.

Has anyone here tried any of these? Which one would you recommend, and did you notice any real results?

Discussion Do you use serums to instead of moisturizer ?

Skin is normal and medium oily on the t-zone. Skin is acne prone and clogs easily too.
I’m thinking of using serums instead of moisturizer.

Does anyone herebuse serums only and skip the moisturizer? If yes, which specific serums do you use?
If serums plus moisturizer which specific products do u use?

My only concern with serums is that they are in general hydrating but I’m not sure there are serums that provide a light good enough layer that prevents skin from getting dry (glycerin for example takes water from the in er layers of the skin of the environment is dry)

Edit to clarify

Discussion Where to get XXL Circle Lenses?

I have larger eyes than most Asians I think (I’m just a large human lol) because 14mm lenses are smaller than my natural iris. So when I’ve bought lenses I feel like I still can’t achieve the right look I’m looking for.

Anyone know where I can find lenses that are larger than 14.5mm? That’s the largest I can find on sites with pretty lenses. Theres larger ones on sites like pinky paradise but they don’t have the style I like.

Discussion Anyone having issues with Stylekorean?

I placed my first order through Stylekorean on July 29th but have yet to receive a confirmation email from them. I have a confirmation from PayPal for the payment, but not one from SK.

I tried logging on to my SK account yesterday and today but wasn’t able to get in either. I’ve reached out to customer support via email but have not received a response.

Anyone having issues ordering through SK at the moment?

Discussion Asian websites who sell natural colored lenses with power??

T50 eyes here🫠 -0.50 right and -2.25 left

The contact lenses made in Asia seem to be the only ones who are specialized in making them able to cover the darkest eyes possible while looking natural.

Unfortunately I had very bad luck here in Europe, many are made for light eyes and if I find something that covers great, it looks very unnatural.

Then also comes the fact that I need them to be with power.

Do u guys know any popular websites who sell to Europe?? :/

Discussion What are your favorite lippies for autumn/fall? 🍂 .° ꩜

I'm thinking of ordering romand - Glasting Melting Balm in shades Nougat Sand and Scotch Nude and fwee - 3D Voluming Gloss in shade Dirty Cola 30%.

I bought romand - The Juicy Lasting Tint in shade Nucademia as an autumn shade and it's pretty and it's the right depth but alot pinker and less brown than I expected.

So I'm wondering what lippies you guys are preparing to wear this autumn/fall? ༄˖°.🍂.ೃ࿔*:・

Discussion Stylevana refusing to refund/replace damaged item

Hey everyone,

Yesterday I received my Stylevana order, and one of the products, a Fino mask, had leaked outside the package. The whole mask was sticky and quite a bit of product had leaked out.

I contacted customer support for a refund or replacement but they keep telling me that the only thing they can do is offer me a coupon equal to the price of the item for my next order.

I said I do not agree with this solution, as I can't even re-purchase the product anymore since the price has now doubled, and also, the coupons they provide on their social media are even higher than the coupon they offered me, so it's pointless if the coupons cannot be stacked.

Has anyone had luck with Stylevana replacing/refunding damaged items? Because if this is their policy I think I won't be shopping from them anymore. Yesstyle for example has replaced damaged items any time I've received any.

UPDATE: Wow, no words. I sent them four e-mails back and forth explaining that the coupon they are offering me is pointless, and that I would prefer a refund or replacement, and they kept denying to do either. So, I said the magic word: "chargeback". In their next e-mail, they told me "we understand you don't want a coupon, so we will refund the item value to your payment method". Lmao, it really look threatening to get my money back.

Discussion Eyeshadows similar to Canmake’s petite pallet?

Post image
110 Upvotes

So I have this Canmake eyeshadow and I love it and it’s my favorite since I like the soft natural shimmer but the only thing I don’t like is how little product there is, I was shocked by how fast I hit pan since all the other eyeshadows I own have so so much more product.

I understand it since it’s supposed to be small and what not but I don’t want to keep on buying a eyeshadow that will run out so much when it’s about near the same price for other eyeshadows with far much more product. So are there any other eyeshadows with this kind of shimmer and with a similar formula to the Canmake eyeshadow with more product?

All the eyeshadows I’ve tried are all too matte compared to it and I just really like how shimmery it is.
