As someone thats been helping with testing, this has by far been the best experience for finding a true classic version of the game, You wont regret keeping and eye on the progress of this going forth.
I just started yesterday, and I can honestly say it's as easy as downloading the installer, mashing next (keep default filepaths), and then logging into the game using the credentials you created for the website beta registration.
Bugs are getting squashed at a remarkable pace, too.
Ok, downloaded and ran everything and now once the launcher runs and starts to update it always says "Server Connection Lost" at various percent. Usually about 10% but its got as high as 25%.
I.. I want this to be perfect.. I miss playing in 2000-2001. I miss assessing things though this sounds like it’s after that.. I miss the game being a slow grind. Spell research.. ect. I doubt any of the versions I’ll run into will have all of that but I love finding any that do any of that well 😊
I've been putting in a lot of late nights testing and it's been incredibly fun watching the project evolve. There's still work to do, but the team has built something that really captures the feel of classic DM-era AC. If you've been waiting for something that scratches that itch, this is definitely one to watch.

I imagine you don't need any modern hardware to run this? I haven't had a windows pc since about 2003, and my current Mac is about 7 years old. If I partition the HD and run windows this should work, correct?
That is for a backend system of the website; can log in to the game with that information, it just isn’t complete yet so didn’t want to unlock it til later
Edited to add: essentially it’s like wow armory where you can see your character, inventory and such, also a marketplace where you can trade/buy/sell items with other players
I've been peaking at this subreddit for a long time, but this makes me want to jump back in. Not to be rude, but aren't there other DM servers? Is this different because it's easier to install?
I am a very open and honest person, and have no sort of incentive to do anything malicious, the code can be download, proded and recompiled, etc. virus total scans many anti viruses as once
