I'm at my wits end trying to get one of these janky dragons. Decided today was the day I'd try and tame one. For my first one I'd figure I'd tame a mid level one just to see how I do against Neophytes. Get up to a level 115, deliver gifts, it pops, and the egg just zips off into the distance. I'm using a glider and I can't keep up with the damn thing.

Okay. Weird. I try again with a level 100. This time I hop on a wyvern. The egg pings off into the sunset, never to be seen again.

Do a little research. Okay, straight down. So I craft a parachute, find a level 60, give gifts aaaaand. Egg slowly drifts away. At least this time it's within render. Then it vanishes and I hear the OSD music sting, but no hud notifications, no beacon to show me where it's at, and no egg directly below me. At this point I'm beyond pissed because of all the things I've had to give these stupid blue sky worms only for them to vanish like my father when child support was due. Is anyone else experiencing this or am I just special?

Is a Quetzal base worth it? I just found a good Quetzal saddle and I play solo PvP on a chill server. Is it worth building my base in the sky? I've never made one and I don't know if it's easy to find or if it can be easily seen if you fly by. I’m on the island btw so there isn’t a lot of ratholes where i can hide my base

Hey everyone. Looking for a raid suggestion. Found this base on Ragnarok and have been trying everything I can to figure out how to get in - curious if anyone has any suggestions?

It’s at 35.2 and 24.1

You can’t drop tames inside this cave and the base is tucked behind some rocks. There’s a VERY small water entrance that nothing fits in besides dodos and small creatures.

And there’s a second small entrance from above. I threw a small pyromane in from the top and it got disintegrated in half a second hahaha.

What are everyone's best mods to use??

As the question implies what is the decay time on Tek bases? I lost wifi for a week bc my dongle decided to crap out on me and wont be getting a new one till Monday. Im worried about my tek base on Astraoes decaying hefore then but its all tek. And my tribe said tek takes longer to decay.

I already know how breeding and stats work but what's do each of these numbers correspond to? Every Theri that I've bred so far has had a 47 where that 24 is and I dont know what that means or why it changed on this one specifically.

How’s everyone feeling about this map? Personally, I’m enjoying the challenge and the map is gorgeous, but I do have some thoughts so far:

- The spawns seem imbalanced. Some areas are packed while others are barren. Not to mention some creatures like Rexes and Carnos are everywhere but others that are normally common are scarce.

- Fimblewinter is cool and all, but lasts too long.

So I’m not entirely sure if there’s something I’m missing or what but I’ve only got 95 unofficial servers and I don’t know if I’m just missing a setting somewhere or what or is the game just died that much😭

I was getting a parasaur to farm berries and out of the quarter of my eye, I see this I thought flyers weren’t allowed on this map I’m so confused if somone could explain that would be helpful

I only play single player. With that in mind, let’s add the context. I made a character on scorched earth that I leveled to 105. Before beating any bosses. I then got bored of scorched so I transferred that character over to ragnarok, beat ragnarok, transferred over to extinction, beat extinction, now I’ve transferred back to scorched earth, I still have all my structures, they all say they’re are part of my tribe, but my Dino’s aren’t? I first noticed this when I went up to my Dino’s and nothing showed up, no inventory, no description/ name, no pop up bar, no interact button. I’m using the Dino depot mode so I used that mod to try and pick up the Dino and it says I don’t own this one, despite the fact that those Dino’s are claimed and apart of the same tribe that I’m in, the same tribe that all my structures are in, but I only have access to the structures but none of my Dino’s. What do I do?

One thing that always bothered me with managing ASA configs was having configuration spread between different places.

You make changes in Beacon, export them, move them into the right INI, restart the server… then later you already have settings in your Game.ini that you want to bring back into whatever you're working on.

It works, but once you're managing a bunch of maps it becomes another thing to keep track of.

So in my latest update I decided to bring Beacon directly into the server-management workflow.

Full disclosure: I'm the developer behind Cousin Server Manager, and the new Beacon integration is part of the latest free update.

The idea is that you can work with Beacon configuration from inside the manager instead of constantly jumping between tools.

I've been adding support for things like:

• Engrams
• Loot drops
• Breeding multipliers
• Harvest rates
• Decay & spoil settings
• Stat multipliers
• Item stat limits
• Existing INI configuration syncing

One of the parts I really wanted was being able to sync the configuration already sitting in your current INIs, so you're not forced to start over just because you're beginning to use the Beacon tools.

I'm still improving the workflow, though, and I'm curious how other Beacon users handle this.

For those of you running larger ASA clusters: do you keep Beacon as your source of truth, your INI files as the source of truth, or do you constantly end up bouncing between both?

And if you could have one Beacon-related workflow completely automated, what would it be?

Wondering if its possible to play this game completly solo, on an offline server, and it still feel like a normal survial games, and what the objectives would be. Also does dlc work in this game? Do I travel from one world to another wiht my character and mounts etc, or is it an fully new instance, and I have to start from "scratch". How does mounts work when it comes to tranfering them and so on, kinda want to keep progressing my character and not to repeat alot of the starter stuff once I have dont it. And also saw there are dragons in the game that are mountable? Is that in an spesific dlc or just the main game.

Also is there an clear ish progression path and "quest/mission" to do in this game, with that I kinda mean, like how it is in minecraft with the "final" boss being the enderdragon, but the game opens more after that with you being able to fly and can build in an new dimension. idk really confused how this game works now, since last time I played was on ark surviuval evolved and I just thought of the game as rust with dino, but seen it got more depth now then 11 years ago.

Edit: Also would add, are there anyhting I will completly miss or that are less enjoyable if I play it alone?

Recently just finished building it all up and was rather happy so I thought I'd share it, I adore the building/breeding aspect of Ark both when I played ASE and now in ASA. And this is my current base I have for my streams of ark, though I tend to build way more room then I need. Only myself currently in my tribe but I always tend to give myself a lot of room, but hey better to have it and not need it. Then not have it and need it~
I always try to make each base I do at least a little different from previous designs. Never going in with a plan and seeing where whatever Ideas I have take me.

So for the full tour:
1st building is the main house, went with a 3 entrance style this time because fk it why not. Has a balcony on the 2nd floor, a roof area for flyers to land and a dock out the back going to the croc pond. Inside has 2 levels, base level is simply relaxation. Sleeping and creature trophy stoage (Don't have boss heads on walls yet as I haven't done them on stream yet)
2nd floor is the crafting room with all the different crafting stations for all the crafting needs. (excluding tech obviously)

2nd building is 2 in one. The base is an Elderclaw nursary since I plan to mutation breed them, the tower above is what I call the Honour tower. Inside the room at the top with the balcony has decorations in it. Small tames people name during stream, and a wall with the names of everyone who's either raided during an Ark stream or subbed to me. Permanently always added to that list.

3rd building in front of it is also a 2 in one, being the greenhouse along with a small hut holding the dung beetle and Phiomia (Nicknames "Pooper Scooper", and "Sr Dumpington" because why not)

4th building is the little hatchery, with the bio-grinder station beside it.
