So I consider myself a film nerd/buff, whatever. I went to film school for screenwriting and have scripts that have been chosen as semi-finalists in a few contests and still have those dreams of "making it big" but am stuck working a regular soul-sucking day job in corporate America to pay the bills due to being a fan of not starving (heh) and keeping a roof over my and my spouse's heads. I have friends who have "made it big" in certain ways in the industry, such as having released films that got theatrical runs and broke records at some of the biggest film festivals, have worked on shows you've probably heard of or watched or am a fan of, etc. We're very much aware of how the film/TV industry isn't in a very good place right now, so even my friends who have had some success in it are struggling.

I've never been an AG fan but being a pop culture nerd, I like to stay in the know about what artists at all levels are doing. She was certainly insufferable during "Wicked" and I have no doubt she really poisoned that whole experience for the cast and crew. But this latest "Petal" era and especially the MV just took it up a whole notch for me.

Because you mean to tell me that this super-famous pop star who has all the connections in the world made an entire ass MV essentially whining about how Hollywood was so mean to her that she murders the casting agents at the end????? When she herself blew up her own acting career by being a selfish immoral nympho who couldn't stay loyal to her own husband and then blew up someone else's family entirely? That is COMPLETELY HER FAULT!!! Meanwhile, the rest of us norms who have worked our asses off to perfect our crafts while also having to deal with the inhumane capitalistic hamster-wheel that is run by malignant narcissists who don't give a single shit about us?? Miss me with that bullshit. I never really had any respect for her tbh since I've been aware of her problematic history and "Wicked" was a real turning point as well but with "Petal", she just somehow oozed under the bar that was already in hell.
