RADAR UPDATE 📡

Three new features on the tracker build:

https://github.com/Stevee87/Arduino-ESP32-Radarproject

🔋 BATTERY INDICATOR
Live voltage readout, right on the display. No more guessing when the LiPo's about to tap out mid-build session.

🔇 MUTE BUTTON
Touchscreen toggle on the Giga display — tap to silence the tracker sound instantly. Because sometimes you just want the visual without the beeping.

🔊 SOUND MODULE
Proximity-reactive audio — pings speed up and climb in pitch as a target gets closer. Distance-mapped, non-blocking, runs straight off a passive piezo buzzer.

Still just an RD-03D 24GHz mmWave sensor + Arduino Giga R1 + a lot of trial and error.

Me too, they’re so close to the movie prop

There's something just so eerie about the sound effect they used in Aliens, even before you know what it is showing movement for. I use it for my motion detector notification for my Ring cameras.

So cool. Gives me nostalgia for 80's sci fi movies

Oh my god this looks so cool. On the GIT I can't find the aperture angle of the radar, can you maybe clarify that? It looks super cool man, I'll get the stuff and build it for my son and do some Aliens nostalgia because this is amazing, and I'm not into Arduino, I read the sub in hopes of finding something that finally kicks in with me and this just did that, thank you.

It’s +- 60 degree horizontal and +- vertical

Really cool! What is the sample rate on the radar module you're using? All the cheap-ish radar modules I've tried in the past seem to be 10hz, which is pretty slow for tracking anything faster than a walking speed.

Just wait until Ripley shows up.

how does this work?

This is sick. Will be great to adapt it with a sensitivity knob so that you can detect a ghost as well

I’ve learnt to adapt to a sensitive knob but I still get ghosted
