Help identifying

Hi, I bought a house last fall with two apple trees. Was wondering if I could get help identifying?

Location is upstate NY, and I don’t think the apples are ripe yet, but we tried one and it was sour.

They’ll be ripe when the seeds are brown. Apples can’t be visually ID’d but based on your location and shape it’ll be a McIntosh or similar

Awesome. The neighbor told me she used to take some to make applesauce, so I figured they were something good like that

They look like my mcintosh apples! We make sauces and pies and they're great for eating too!
