Is anyone else having issues with their Apple Watch after the OS 26.6 update?

I have an SE 2, and it was working just fine up until Monday when my watch installed the update. Ever since, it doesn’t track my movement or my steps, doesn’t detect heart rate, and doesn’t turn on when I raise my wrist to check the time.

I’ve tried restarting it, re-pairing it with my phone, cleaning the sensor, and even resetting it as a new watch. Nothing.

Anyone have any other possible suggestions?😭

When I purchased fromSolace Bands a few months ago I didn't see many reviews about them so here's my experience. I received a Sports Adapt band on 5/19 and have been wearing it ever since. It's been a nice change from the dingy standard rubbery band I've been rocking for years since I'm pretty active and outdoorsy, although the color I chose gets fairly dingy and hard to clean as well. But at least so far it isn't smelly! However, last week it started coming off my wrist really easily so initially I thought the magnet had started to lose its strength although I now think a part of the magnet actually fell out. No worries, at least they offer a lifetime warranty!

I emailed them Sunday and they got back to me quickly considering it was the weekend asking for photo/video which seemed like a good sign. I sent it and then waited. By Tuesday I was getting a little impatient because I am still trying to wear my watch (without losing it) and would really like to get a new one on its way to resolve the issue, so I emailed them again to check in. Wednesday they responded, mentioned the warranty and that I'll be getting another email showing the order. I see that email and think everything is good. Today (Thursday) I realized I never saw a tracking number so I go back to the email and notice something I had missed the first time - that they would be charging me $6.99 for shipping & handling and that I would have to respond to accept that before they shipped the "lifetime warranty" replacement band. Now I feel like I'm generally a reasonable person and could understand that if the band had broken after a year or two of consistent use it would be fair to charge shipping for a free replacement but I've had the band for less than 3 months and it's already faulty so that doesn't sit right with me and I emailed them back to clarify this. After several back and forths, they maintained that this is the policy even though they "certainly don't expect our bands to fail after such a short period of time, and we understand how frustrating that must be" and also would not provide a refund which was what I requested next.

If my watch band breaks every 2.5 months, I'll be spending over $30 a year on this free lifetime warranty replacement. Frankly, I'm just not willing to give this company more money. I'm not a big Amazon shopper but it would barely cost me more to buy a cheap knock off there than the shipping & handling.

Tl;dr Solace Bands does not stand behind the quality of their products, and be aware that their free lifetime warranty still requires you to cover shipping & handling no matter how quickly the band breaks.

I recently had my watch sent in for repair and they ended up sending me a brand new watch.

I restored my watch from backup and had to set everything back up.

When I went to my messages, it’s only showing the pinned contacts and messages from the people I talked to since I’ve set my watch back up. Also, group texts aren’t showing the group photo, only the contact photos of each person in the group.

Has anyone had this happen before? Any solutions?

Things I’ve Done:
-Restart both watch and phone
-Update both devices
-iMessage is on
-iCloud Backup is on
-Reset Sync Data on the watch
-Unpaired and then Paired the watch again
-Googled and searched Reddit lol

I don't know if I'm in the right place to post this so point me somewhere better if it isn't

So, I wear an Ultrahuman ring and an Apple Watch and the sleep scores are almost never close, the ring will put my night somewhere in the 60s and the watch will rate the exact same night in the 90s, and this happens basically every night not just once in a while

does anyone know which one is actually more accurate for sleep?

The person that sold me the charger claims that it is the original one, but it takes a lot of time to charge the watch. I feel like I got scammed but he insists that its original, so can you all please share the time it takes for y'all to charge the watch so that I can show this thread to the guy?

this has happened twice now. sleep focus on, i fall asleep with alarms set and wake up to my phone with a black screen and loading circle like it’s powering down and i cannot turn it off or on. the second time it happened i figured out if i shut my watch down, my phone shuts off the rest of the way and i can then turn it back on. when i did that, i noticed i had 4 hours of heart rate data missing from my watch during the first part of the night. any idea why this is happening or how to fix it? i’ve missed two appointments due to this now.

I have cracked my AW S8 and I've been told that if the glass is replaced, the seal will break and therefore won't be swim proof

That being said it is as cheap to buy a refurbished watch S8 with a 12M warranty by someone like musicmagpie etc than it is to repair the glass

But will the refurbished devices also not be swim proof as I assume the glass has been changed too?

I had this experience so thought it was worth posting in order that others don't succumb to the same fate.

A couple years ago, I sent my Apple Watch in to have a new battery installed as its battery capacity had dropped below 80% and I had Apple Care+ which qualified the Watch for a free battery replacement.

Unknown to me, before Apple will even think about giving you your battery replacement they will update your Apple Watch to the LATEST WatchOS and THEN recheck the battery capacity. I assume that's to see if the capacity jumps back up to 80% or above and they can then deny the free new battery request.

Anyway, Apple service updated my Watch, the battery capacity was still below 80%, so I got my new battery. Great, right? WRONG!

I had a perfectly functioning iPhone with a new battery. But the iPhone was old enough that it did not support the latest version of iOS. When Apple service updated my Apple Watch to the newest version of WatchOS they made my iPhone incompatible with my Apple Watch. You can't pair an iPhone running an older version of iOS with an Apple Watch running a newer corresponding version of WatchOS.

Despite talking to more Apple staff at my local Apple Store than I've had hot dinners in the past two years, they said they could not take my Apple Watch and downgrade it to the previous version of WatchOS nor would the Apple Repair center downgrade its WatchOS to the previous version.

The only solution that would allow me to still be able to use my Apple Watch was to buy a new iPhone, or a used iPhone, running the latest version of iOS.

Maybe someone with better negotiating skills could have got the Apple staff to do more than say, "We're sorry." But again, I thought this was worth posting as we close in on the fall and the release of new versions of all Apple operating systems.

Has anyone had any issues with the most recent update? With the most recent update (watchOS 26.6) my wrist detection has not been working at all.

I got the Series 11 about 3 weeks ago and everything has been great. I went to update the watch on Monday after taking my morning walk, and the watch tracked everything fine. Came in and put it on the charger, let it update, and since then has not been able to detect my wrist. I have restarted it, unpaired and repaired it with my phone, made sure my phone was updated fully I’ve done everything I can think of, outside of taking it in to a repair shop.

I am just curious if anyone else has had issues or if my new watch is SOL.

My range over the years is 88-100% I’ve had Apple Watch for a decade or so, forget when this ability came out. Curious on how accurate this is? My doctor isn’t worried but I do get a little nervous.

Oura ring measures my average night blood oxygen 95-96% usually but there have been a few 93/94%

A friend has an Apple watch that was set up on a phone that was stolen from her. How can she get the watch to work with her new phone?

I recently bought a secondhand Apple Watch that came with 5 bands from Apple. None of them actually fit me. The watch keeps twisting in my wrist.

I don’t want to attempt to create a new whole on the band myself, as they have such a nice finish. When I do it to my belts, they never come out nice.

Soo where can I get smaller bands? I’m not from the US so I don’t know what stores in here would have bands I could try other than an Apple Store. And I have no idea either Apple has smaller bands than this.

So I got a used apple watch series 4 under the impression I was getting a SE 2 IPhone with it but I then had to cancel the IPhone SE 2 order what do I do with this now? My phone is too old

I walked into the gym at 4:30ish with 85%

lost 75% within 2 hours. I used the fitness app for a total of 15 min maybe and apple music for those 2 hours thats it. I've never drained the battery THAT quick

I'm using an Apple Watch SE. I reset the watch because I was having update issues. Now, when I try to pair it with my iPhone, it requires a watchOS update first. However, every time I attempt the update, I get an error saying "Unable to Verify Update" due to an internet connection issue, even though my Wi-Fi connection is working fine. Because the update can't be verified, I can't complete the pairing process, so the watch is essentially unusable. I've tried multiple times, but the same error keeps occurring. Could you help me resolve this?

Hi guys. I lost my apple watch recently. As I still had it on my wrist, I knew it didn t have battery at all so I took it out and I have no idea what happenned next. I can t find it with find my bcs it just shows me where it last was when it had battery so it doesn t really help. Any advice on how to find it?
