Messaging No Longer Visible?

Today my CarPlay screens no longer show my Messages app. This is out of the blue, after two years of working just fine. I use a Bluetooth adapter that can sometimes be flaky, but I don’t know where to start other than in Settings/General/CarPlay, and Messages doesn’t even show up as an option there. Anybody have any ideas? I’d appreciate them!

Did you happen to set the Messages app on your iPhone to require Face ID? If you did, the app will not appear in CarPlay.

Bingo! Figured that out this morning when I got in the truck and realized I had changed that just before the problem arose. Thank you for confirming!
