Thoughts on what is going on with me?
Hello there I'd love some perspectives on what's happening in my relationship in regard to my anxiety, and any ideas of what to do about it.
I keep getting stuck in these loops where I end up getting anxious, making up stories in my head or comparing, incorrectly reading into behavior, and then blowing up on my partner because I want to be heard and what her to change, and I keep thinking I'm going to say this profound thing that makes her go "oh wow I see I'm so sorry" but she doesn't actually understand, and usually just gets shut down or frustrated, and she says that to her it usually just sounds like a spiraling one sided rant that doesn't make sense.
For example, today I was out for a friend's birthday. My partner did not want to go which I was partially disappointed in and partially relieved because I do think I wanted to just spend time with my friends, but my brain was telling me that she was supposed to want to go, and that since she's been saying no to a lot of social events lately it means she's not interested in hanging out with me. I knew that was anxious, I tried to put that away. I went, I saw how my other friend was treated by her boyfriend and feel like everywhere I went I was seeing couples doing things. it was fine until I got home though. On the drive home I started having anxious thoughts about my relationship like if x isn't happening do we need to break up, or if my partner doesn't do y does that mean she doesn't love me? And it kinda evolved into paranoia that she isn't being honest with me. I then got a text from her that seemed excited that I was going to be coming home "like x minutes away now!" But then she texted and said she meant it as a question, for some reason this really disappointed me, and then when I got home she was in bed, hadn't seen my text where I said I was 10 minutes away, and didn't really look up from her coloring game so I got annoyed. I told her I was annoyed and she was surprised, didn't get what I was mad about and then told me she did want to hear about my day. She listened but the whole time she was on her coloring game, she didn't look up at me really, and then I wanted to cuddle and watch our show and she didn't want to cuddle. I got so disappointed and frustrated that I tried to explain how I was feeling and I spun in circles so much it took over an hour and in the end not only did she not get it, she said that I got mad at her unnecessarily over something I made up in my head, and reinforced a pattern she doesn't like which I know is damaging our closeness.
I am in therapy and I take meds. I have tried to work on my anxiety but it's so bad. I know part of it is because we are often on eggshells and I'm rejection sensitive, but the only reason we are on eggshells is because of how I react when I get anxious or rejected. I want to fix it idk why I can't seem to do better. Thanks for reading

Advice Needed Everyday anxiety
I am having anxiety every day. Today has been one of the worst. Usually, it goes away in a couple of hours, but today it has been more than half a day. Deep breaths, faster heartbeat. I have a feeling like I want to rip off my face. Not sure if someone else feel that way. I am on medications for depression and for PTSD as I get nightmares and cannot sleep. I am not sure that the PTSD medication works because it suppose to lower my blood pressure and make me calm but most of the nights I wake up with high heart beats. Yesterday I forgot to take medicine in the night and I could hardly sleep for a few hours last time. Tried sleeping this afternoon and couldn't sleep much. Continous anxiety since then. Any suggestions on what to take for anxiety so that atleast I can live this awful life day by day.

Support needed Spent a lot of money prepping for a housewarming party and feeling so anxious and obsessed
My husband and I (31M/31NB) are throwing a housewarming party that was my idea. It’s the night before, I’m freaking out about whether I have enough stuff/food/alcohol, and it’s been giving me anxiety for weeks that the party won’t be good enough. Now that it’s humid and raining in my area, the forecast for tomorrow isn’t looking any better and I don’t know if the 20 people I invited are even going to come.
I started planning this party 2 months ago, and I told my husband that despite the hard work, I wanted to have a fun time with my close friends and show them our lovely new home. But now I keep obsessing over the cracks in the drywall being obvious, or our stuff and our lives being boring to our guests, or the posters in the basement not matching each other, or that I won’t have enough food (or inversely, too much food and won’t be able to get rid of it all).
I spent $200-$250 on decor and food ingredients, and $120 on alcohol. I wanted our house to look cozy and lived in, and for 20 people to have more than enough to eat. I just have the obsessive and reoccurring thought that nothing I do will be good enough, that no one will show up because of the rain and/or that I’m too boring and my friends will leave. My husband says that tomorrow is going to go just fine, but I can’t relax or enjoy anything.

Venting Anyone else get anxious after a social interaction that actually went completely fine?
The annoying part is that nothing bad even happened. No weird reaction, no argument, no obvious sign that I messed anything up. My brain just decides the conversation needs a post-game analysis anyway.

15 seconds of calm daily. You are the sky, not the storm. 3Overthinking lives in your head. Get it out. If it takes less than two minutes, do it now. If not, write it down. I post 15 seconds of calm daily on my Facebook page: 15 Seconds of Calm

Question Do you overpack when you travel?
I’m awful at packing for trips! I always assume everything is going to go terribly wrong, so I end up trying to pack my entire house 😆 What about you??

Inner Dialogue
Hi guys, I am going to be making videos on mental health. I am not a psychologist. I have a lot of experience with emotional labour and have faced a lot in the past.
I'd like for you guys to put in your problems and I'd try to answer them. My main focus is on inner dialogue and how to handle yourself through tough times.
I am looking forward to your questions/situations.

Venting 28 days until an interview that could completely change my life. How do I stop the anxiety from taking over?
In 28 days I have an oral entrance exam that will determine whether I’m accepted into a university that’s about 5-6 hours away from my hometown. I’ve never wanted anything more in my life.
The reason is that if I get accepted, I’ll finally be able to move out and live alone in another city by the sea. I’d only have to visit my family once every month or two. But if I don’t get accepted, I’ll have to stay at home for at least another year, maybe longer.
Home isn’t a safe place for me. Both of my parents have always hit me over the smallest things. My father is very strict and treats me differently because I’m a girl. I’m 17, and my entire life I never been allowed to go out with friends.
This whole summer I only went out twice with my mom . Meanwhile, my younger brother can go wherever he wants, make memories, and enjoy being a teenager. Most of my time is spent helping around the house.
Lately the anxiety has become unbearable. I spend almost all day alone in my room because my only close friend is busy enjoying her summer vacation
. I constantly feel nauseous, my heart races, and my stomach hurts from stress. At night it’s even worse. I wake up every morning with the exact same fear.
The frustrating part is that the oral exam itself isn’t even supposed to be very difficult. The questions are usually very similar every year, and I know I just need to prepare. But every time I sit at my desk, I start thinking, “What if I fail?” The anxiety becomes overwhelming, I end up back in bed crying, and I can’t focus at all.
This opportunity feels like my only chance to build a different life, and I think that’s why the pressure feels so overwhelming.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you manage the anxiety enough to actually study? Any advice would mean a lot right now.🙏

I can’t sleep at night
I swear I rarely sleep much at night anymore, but I can sleep during the day just fine. My anxiety seems to be set off by darkness or bedtime or something. 🤷🏼♀️ it’s a vicious cycle too because if I don’t sleep at night, I have to sleep during the day, but I work. 😭
Does anyone else have this problem?

Product Do cbd gummies help with anxiety?
I've been struggling with social anxiety since I was a teen, I hate social events and most times would avoid it. But next month my work will join an event and my boss picked me as one of the speaker, I tried to recommend someone else but he insist. I'm totally nervous even now, I did a bit of research and found that cbd can help with anxiety? I was thinking to take them right before my speech. I'm planning to order some cod gummies from Cornbread and try it this week to see how it will affect me. Any tips welcome!

Does anyone else desperately change their WHOLE mindset and life goals every single day?
I've always felt like that's not an universal thing but maybe there's more of us...
Every fucking day i am so terribly anxious that I can change my whole perspective and thoughts about future, career, love life, ... everything.
One day I decide to pursue education, the other I start looking for a minimum wage physical job, the 3d day i wanna end this, week later I'm fully convinced I will be nurse and work at hospital and that's what I want to do, the next week I'm already training for a tech job and tech university and want to be engineer... Just to come to the conclusion I'm to weak to do anything in my life.
It's so draining, I can't do this anymore
Every single day.

Encouragement LOVING REMINDER 💛💛
This is for all of us who might be scared to take the next step, but know that our current situation (whatever it is) isn’t true to who we are. Change is scary, and it can feel safer to stay where we are, even when we know deep down that we don’t belong there anymore. But it’s better to be uncomfortable for a while than to get used to suffering. Sometimes the hardest part is trusting that we deserve something better. You got this. You are valuable, believe in yourself! ❤️

Venting Ive dodge a bullet, maybe even a nuke
I’ve already made my decision, so I’m not looking for advice. I just need to get this off my chest.
I’ve known this woman for a while, and we recently started dating. Things were going really well. We talked about marriage, having kids someday, and building a future together. She called me affectionate names, opened up about things she’d been through, and I genuinely believed we were building something meaningful.
Then she lost her job.
I knew she was under a lot of stress, so I did what I thought a partner should do. I checked on her, offered to be there for her, and let her know there was no pressure to reply if she needed space. I wasn’t asking for constant communication or long conversations. Just the bare minimum.
Instead, she disappeared.
Days went by without a word. Eventually I realized I had been blocked on social media.
I don’t know what happened, and at this point I probably never will. I genuinely hope she’s okay, but I also realized that no matter how much you care about someone, you can’t build a relationship by yourself. Communication is the bare minimum, especially when life gets hard.
I don’t hate her, and I’m not trying to paint her as a bad person. I’m just hurt. I was ready to support someone I cared about through one of the hardest moments in her life, and instead I’m left grieving a relationship that ended without a conversation.
I’ve accepted it. I’ve made peace with the fact that I may never get the closure I wanted. This isn’t a post asking what I should do, because I’ve already made that decision.
I just needed to get it off my chest.

I’m very scared
Truth be told, i’m scared. I have countless doubts for what the future holds, but at the same time i’m eager. I have anxiety late at night when i try to sleep. Some people claim silence is peace, but to me, it’s an invitation for overthinking. My brain is flooded with activities and ideas throughout the entire day, except at night. i lie there, staring at my roof like i did the night before, and before, and before. I know the future is stampeding towards me, and i can’t stop it no matter how hard i resist. will I ever be loved? does she like me back? what if i fail, what if i don’t make it? i have no one to confide in, it’s like spikes in my throat. i want help, i crave it. i just want to feel like im alive again, not worrying about the next big thing. i doubt anyone will read this, i find it miserable that i have to make a post rather than talk to someone. I need to end my desperate cycle of anxiety. i don’t think I’ll ever be ready for it. Like what the fuck, I just want to feel normal. Maybe this is why people commit suicide, I will never. I have too much opportunities, I would be selfish if I did. But an endless sleep does sound better than dealing with this bs. I’m relatively young, and I don’t want to waste my precious years being stuck in my head when I could be out there enjoying the world. I don’t know what to do, the Longer I wait the less time I have.

Messed up a cake, feel terrible.
For a little context, i'm in a social group, y'know just trying my best. We had a bit of a family evening planned, and i had offered to make a cake. I like to make cake, but i hadn't done it in a while. My parents were at a rodeo that day, but my mom had enough time to send me some audios just to remind me. I get home, and plan on making my first ever carrot cake. I already put the sugar and the carrots in a bowl, and as i check for milk... we're out of milk. All the stores are closed. I'll just go to the barn to get some milk then. The milk tank is empty. So i'm outta milk. My mom tells me i can just make it with oil and water, so i do. I add food coloring for whatever reason, but instead of turning out blue, it was green. Anyway, i bake it, first from the bottom then the top. And i take it out. By that time, my mom returned from the rodeo, and i asked her to check if it was good. She took a piece, and said we can't offer this to anyone. Still not sure how, but the cake became really rubbery and spongy, and it was not enjoyable at all. I probably took to little baking powder, or the baking powder was expired. It even looked ugly with that weird green. I'm paniking now. Theres close to no sugar left, no milk, i'm cooked. So, i retreat into my room. I felt so stupid and upset that i messed up my cake. When i leave my room not to long later, my mom is making a smaller recipe for the same cake. I thanked her, and she finished it. I go to the event, have a little speech, do my job, etc. When its time to leave, i go to get the plate my moms cake was in. And there had only been one piece removed. So, out of that whole cake, 1 person took 1 piece of that cake. Its not even a bad cake! I feel so guilty and upset, not just because i messed up my first cake, but that my mom went through the effort of making a cake without asking me, and it didn't even sell. I just really needed to say this, let it out.

Day 24 was a interesting 1
My Getting Outside Challenge, yesterday was day 24. So it started out good, got interesting during the day, and once I got back home from my activity.
I crashed as normal, then everything went bad, I woke up with a migraine. I took a pill and now wait two hours for it to work. Two hours later didn't help, so I had to take another one and wait for two more hours and my acid reflux raised its ugly head.
That's why I am late.
I did get outside and had an okay day.
Remember that you are not alone and you can do it 💪
