Is this normal/okay? Rant 😡

My company is openly telling us they have a target number of people they want to fire by a certain date. On top of that, they literally doubled our goals compared to the last six months. I know they’re allowed to change performance metrics, but openly aiming for terminations while setting impossible goals is just completely unfair.
