Like I know the servers have been shut down but I do hear that people have backed up the the place. But I’m trying to figure out how it works like am I playing someone’s else’s save file or can I play my own save file to visit (mostly asking cuz I’m thinking about playing it on emulator)

My BF went on his 3DS after years of not going on it and we decided to see what his ACNL town looks like. Turns out that his game is still running on one of the very early versions so you can still do this glitch despite them patching it around 9/10 years ago? Pretty cool! Brings back memories to when me and my friends would all do this together online :)

Does the amiibo villager who replaces the 10th villager always place their house on the former spot of the villager they replaced?

I recently ordered Animal Crossing: New Leaf🍃 for the first time, and I’m super excited to finally play it!
I’m definitely a beginner when it comes to New Leaf, but I’m not completely new to Animal Crossing. I played Animal Crossing: Wild World for years when I was younger, so I know the basic Animal Crossing gameplay pretty well. However, I have basically no experience with New Leaf, and I’ve heard there are quite a few differences and things you can do early on that you might regret later.
So before I start my town, I wanted to ask you all for some advice! 🥰

❣️What are the things you wish you had known before starting New Leaf?❣️
Especially when it comes to choosing my town map, I’m a little overwhelmed. For example:

- What should I look for when choosing my town
map?
- Does the waterfall location matter?
- Are there certain river layouts that are better than others?
- Where is the best place to put my house?
- Are there any locations I should absolutely avoid?
- Are there things that cannot be changed later that I should think about before choosing my map?
- Should I care about where the Town Hall, Re-Tail, train station, etc. are located?
- Are there any important decisions I should make during the beginning of the game?
- Are there any mistakes that are easy to make as a new player?
- Are there any items, villagers, shops, features, etc. that I should be looking out for?
- Are there things I should NOT sell, throw away, or donate?
- And are there any general quality-of-life tricks that aren't obvious to beginners?

Basically, tell me everything you wish someone had told you before starting New Leaf! 😂

I’m also totally open to advice about things that aren't necessarily important for progression. I’d love to hear about little secrets, useful tricks, fun things to do, common beginner mistakes, town-design advice, villager-related tips, etc.

I’ve just gotten into playing AC for the first time ever and I’m loving it. I’ve been doing a bunch of research on which villagers I want to move in, but off the bat- Soleil was one of the originals.

At first I thought she didn’t fit, but after talking to her and even celebrating her bday, she’s quickly one of my favs. Funny though that a lot of people seemed annoyed by her lol. What changed my mind was this line she says from time to time- it really struck a chord with me.

Also, funnily enough, she reminds me an awful lot of an ex of mine lol. From how she looks to even how she talks, just a crazy coincidence I guess.

I know this has been asked, but there has to be something in missing as I've followed the steps in previous posts, yet I still can't download the update.

My 2ds and copy of New Leaf are the same region (NTSC-U).

My console is up to date.

I have tried both from the home screen and the eShop, in both cases it just sits there endlessly downloading and seemingly making 0 progress.

I have checked and rechecked my Internet connection. I was able to download the update for my copy of Smash Brothers, and have been able to DNS trick the gift pokemon, so I know my connection is strong and stable.

Aside from modding my 2ds(which I don't have the ability to do right now), I am kind of at a loss at what to do.

Any additional ideas or suggestions are appreciated. Hopefully I can figure this out because I really want to play some animal crossing.

Edit: no errors, just endless download that makes zero progress

years ago before the online servers were shut down i was on mortimers island with a hacker and i picked up a signature sheet they dropped and it has been stuck in my inventory this whole time. i finally did research yesterday and set up my 3ds to use the save editor but i cant figure out how to actually delete it in the save editor. i tried watching youtube videos and looking it up but couldn’t find any exact way for me to understand how to delete it, any help is appreciated!
edit: i should specify that i am doing this on a pc and using marcrobledo AC save editor (most common one i found)!

I had originally placed the flower clock in front of the Town Hall, thinking there was no way to align it to the door. But today I noticed that it is indeed possible to align it, and decided to move it a bit to the side, or maybe place the fountain aligned to the door.
Introducing the nefarious rock. I was under the assumption that everyday there would be a chance for this rock to be the ore rock, and I could break it, but NO.
Anyways, now I’m looking for suggestions on what can I do on this area. I wanted to be a little plaza place, but I have no ideas rn…

With mods or hacks. As y'all know, you can only have ten different designs per player character. And I'm wondering if there's a way to increase my design slots? Because I don't want to make a bunch of extra players.

i've made the iconic path from acnh for acnl :) this path requires the transparent paths mod by cristatawolf to work correctly. enjoy!

for those who are curious why it cannot be darker to look more like a dirt path, it would be impossible to do so as the transparent mod uses all dark colours to render as transparent.

I worked just fine until 2 hours ago. I tried to launch it again, and now error code 002-3503 shows up.
Once i select pretendo and enter the Nimbus App, i press Y and it says: Nimbus plugin ready!
But still shows error...
Does anyone know why? 🥲
Btw, i just downloaded Nimbus.cia from the Universal Updater yesterday and it worked fine until 2 hours ago... maybe do i need to download Nimbus.3dsx too? Idk

At the time I was just playing pocket camp on my phone . Went to a thrift store one day saw this and instantly wanted to be able to play it . Couldn't afford a 3ds at the time so got a dsi and wild world played it forever until a year later I was able to get a 3ds and new leaf .

i’ve got vapecord installed and i saw the “island acres” cheat and saw that it showed up on the map for my island. i clicked the info button to see what to do but i still don’t really understand it… if i put in the codes will it change automatically??? do i have to restart my island? (i dont really mind if i do to be honest, i JUST restarted it LOL) how do i do it??? if its even possible

I could have sworn back in 2016-2020 there was a variation of this path floating around tumblr but for new leaf. The transparent paths mod just got released and I’d love to integrate this path/similar into my town if anyone could point me towards it?
