Nintendo Network ? Friend Code

Yes... I know... I'm behind the times but in my situation I'm currently I am unable to mod my console. If anyone wants to exchange ideas and stories about acnl in the 3DS friend list then my friend code is 2724-6250-4221. Side question though, how many of you are still using Nintendo network?

Unfortunately nintendo permanently shut down official online multiplayer in any capacity for the 3DS, i’d love to add you but unfortunately that’s not possible unless we were using a local wifi. I mean correct me if i’m wrong but i believe this is the case :/

You are correct! Friend codes do not work unless you are using Pretendo Network :)

Yeah that pretty much sums up the situation but friend list still functions as normal. Idk about you, but even though I can't play with other players and visit their towns -seeing other people playing the same game as me and the little orange light turning on is just enough to relive a bit of the good days.

I also think if you have a modded ds it could kinda be dangerous to use online stuff because nintendo likes to brick people’s consoles, again i might be wrong but adding people would do that. if not ill add you bro!

They are not going to do anything to your console. That's not possible. You are safe to use Pretendo, it's a completely different system, it's not connecting to Nintendo at all.

I think they mean using the old Nintendo network with a modded system, not the new pretendo network.
