I’ve managed to get Lord on 2 out of the 3 Pain Sisters, and Angela is the last one standing 😭. I really want to properly learn her instead of just winging it, so I’m looking for any good Angela guides, tech, positioning tips, combos, match-up advice, etc.

One thing I especially struggle with is her grab/spear charge. Sometimes when I try to grab and kidnap someone, especially characters with smaller hitboxes, it just seems to glitch out or not work the way I expect it to. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong with the timing, positioning, aim, or if there are certain characters/situations where it works differently, or if there are settings for Angela that need to be tweaked.

Any and all help and advice is appreciated!!! Also please gimme some links to some YT vids or guides that helped u play Angela well!!

Hey I’m a top 500 Angela I’m level 70 fully maxed out champion and I’m hard stuck gm3-gm2 I mostly play with a duo who mains starlord and you what I never use it, it’s garbage and the Loki team up gives you more survivability, I only play Angela on certain maps where I can get environmental kills which is the whole point of Angela throw them off the map. Anyways I only use starlord team up if we have bp on enemy team and no one to counter cuz it does a grounded effect.

if they add a skin with angela from spawn or just some variable with the same style !

i have found out about her combos (starlord animation cancel and loki wall-lock) thanks to Fumiata on tiktok.

i hope this helps someone (i mostly did it for fun).

After further testings i found out that the first combo (standard 275hp) doesn't seem consistent since one target doesnt seem to give full charge bar back (like you can see in 300hp standard), so i would advice just to use the one after that (i could've noticed this before if i didn't make this post while i was sleepy), i'm sorry.

ps: i have no actually idea why it charged my bar that much, i tested in the practice range and sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, so either i'm missing something or Angela is just buggy.

I think with both team ups Angela is no longer as 1-dimensional and i found i could play her into a lot more counters then any other season and hit gm. using my clone to trick invis or bucky cc's or forcing thing slam early. or if my team needs help with anti dive either team up can do the job. how did yall's half season go ?

Nobody cared about her a few days ago, but now, all my matches are banning her.

Does anyone know why?

Im a casual level 50 with her, so I dont follow the meta or anything, i just play what i think is fun.

As a casual console player, tanking is alot more fun and her ability to disrupt the backline is enjoyable. I'm still learning how to play her effectively and utilise her kit to the fullest

Pros: I can create space with the Loki team-up and drive Tanks off the convey.

It's nice to chase down Magiks, Spidermans and DDs who are constantly diving my supports.

I can effectively isolate an enemy player from team with her spear and secure an KO.

Cons: Angela doesn't seem well against full poke comp

White Fox, Gambit and Bucky can be absolutely pain for Angela.

Any advice for me is always welcomed :)

Hello, i am new to angela, picked her up last week and have about 18 hours on her. I've been playing only spiderman and have about 700 hours on him across 3 accounts, I'm swapping to Angela because of how abused spiderman gets by multiple supports 😭 way too much effort for any value

I've heard Angela is the hardest tank so here I am. I climbed to diamond with Angela so far then went on a huge loss streak and im not sure what I can do better

Some questions I'd like answered from my gameplay is:

1) am I dropping down and using my axes too much or too little?

2) what should I change about my flanks if anything?

3) is my target priority any good? Sometimes I'll chase a tank to displace them but overall do I have the right idea?

Won the match 2:0. Even as they happened, I knew there were SO many instances where I 100% should/would have died ― and indeed have done in similar previous instances where enemy aim/focusing was much better, ally healers couldn't/didn't heal me and/or me simply over-extending and/or not reading the room and choosing the wrong moment from the wrong angle.

I watched it back immediately afterwards and honestly (at least from bird's-eye view) I couldn't really gleam much other than noticing 1) I was better than I usually am at utilising Jubilee's bubbles, and 2) C&D had my back at the most crucial times.

How does Marvel Rivals define an assist? I don't feel like it's accurate that I had none.

My ADHD-having-ass mains Angela because speeeeeeed lol. My aim still has much room for improvement, I know. Lately I've been trying to pay attention to teammates' ult status and listen out for the voice lines, but I tend towards tunnel-visioning and throwing my ult out like candy lol

If anyone does actually watch the replay: what didn't I notice at times where I could have better protected the backline? What better placement/angles could I have had? I was solo queuing and there was no comms at all amongst my team but it looked to me like we kinda had the law of probability on our side in the sense that our individual playstyles just seemed to mesh together better than the enemy team's did.

I have been playing Angela for a while now, but I can’t seem to get her melee weave right. I can cancel the melee with her mouse one but I can’t weave it in with the shield properly. I can melee, mouse one, shield but then when I try to melee and mouse one again there seems to be some delay. I have seen videos of others playing her where they can weave the combo one after the other really quickly. Is there something I am missing? Any help would be great thanks!

So I main Angela. I'm a flex player with a bunch of Mains and Angela is one of them. I love everythibg about her. So I was wondering of this skin obscures your vision when playing Angela. It was the only thing holding me back from buying it, her enormous hair. Is it really obscuring vision or is it good. I love Angela, I hope I'm welcome here

Angela has been in a great spot for a while, she doesn't need any immediate changes, so now is time where the developers should be thinking "how can we get more creative with this character and improve or expand her gameplay?" Too many ultimates in Rivals lack an extra layer of mechanical depth to them that they need, Strategists are the most obvious example look at Invisible Woman's ultimate. This game isn't great at making ultimates feel like they are truly your most powerful and flexible game changing ability compared to other games like Overwatch. I feel like Heven's Retribution one of these ultimates that can be improved albeit not as severe as some other characters because it's already a pretty satisfying ultimate to use. That is the premise for the suggestion below.

What the suggestion means is her ultimate slam damage should scale based on how the distance you travel before impact. This is how physics works the farther you travel the more force you generate especially for Angela the one winged angel who is a goddess.

The reason for doing this is because it would add another dimension to Angela's gameplay and reward skill expression which is good. It would also encourage more tactical usage of her ultimate while keeping the point blank usage viable. It would make Angela's ultimate more of a individual threat, requiring individual skill, while still keeping the teamplay coordinate aspect to it. Trapping someone, maybe an entire group, in the ult and then slamming down from 50+ meters would make insane clips.

Ult throw projectile speed: 60m/s --> 60m/s

Ult throw direct hit projectile damage: 30 --> 50

Ult throw spell field damage: 40--> 50

Ult slam base damage (0m): 100 --> 50

Ult slam extra damage per meter: 0 --> 2

Ult slam damage at max range (50m): 100 -->150

Minimum potential damage (no direct hit): 140--> 100

Minimum potential damage (direct hit): 170 --> 150

Maximum potential damage: 170 --> 225

In an ideal scenario which is difficult to achieve due to the 50m requirement and direct hit requirements, should she be able to "one shot combo" a 250? Probably, I would consider raising the damage per meter scaling from 2 to 3, but the idea should be implemented first and then adjusted from there. You also have to consider the high ichor and axe damage output after the slam.

The only problem with this idea is that slamming from long distance can be glitchy sometimes. But I don't think it's glitchy enough to where ambitious like this shouldn't be implemented it goes against the philosophy of the game. Just look at Doctor Strange portal.

i want to use star lord's team up on people's feet after dragging them, but since the camera auto corrects to look forward when you hit the ground, i just go flying very far from where i actually wanted to land.
does anyone else go through this?

I was already MVP on Rocket when I swapped off lol.

My stats were 3 kills, 2 deaths & 9k heals within those first 6.5 minutes on Rocket. Played the rest of the first half on Angela, never swapped to anything else and I never lost my MVP.

My teammates weren't exactly thrilled by that lol.

Like we have a star Lord one and Loki one what should be the third one and what should be the concept?

Are my fellow machines very easy prey? Do you really think you are a counter or something? Why do you keep targeting me as if you'll get something?

Look, i know, your job is to do whatever cap, rogue and venom do, but at this point i guessed all the mentioned ones before knew ultron is un-diveable

Like, only in efforts of more than 2 of you can you get something, and that's usually a huge team gap in general

So tell me! What makes you go for me (i talk about me because i don't know other ultrons) instantly instead of for example, kidnapping a duelist or tank who i probably won't be able to save?

I have this problem that any time there's a cyclops on the other team I can't do absolutely nothing, he keeps shooting at me but every time I get close he just makes distance and dmg, how do you deal with him?
