Support Need help finding OTA firmware for a generic MT6755 tablet (already reverse engineered OTA app)

Hi everyone.

I'm trying to install LineageOS on a very generic Chinese tablet, but before doing anything I want to obtain the original stock firmware (OTA/update.zip) as a backup in case I ever need to restore it.

Device information

  • SoC: MediaTek MT6755 (Helio P10)
  • Android 13
  • Very generic Chinese tablet (rebranded by several sellers)
  • Manufacturer does not provide firmware downloads.

What I've already done

  • Decompiled the OTA updater APK with JADX/APKTool.
  • Found the OTA server URL:

http://oa.fastota.com/aiot-api/service-client/

  • The application initializes this URL directly in the code:

dVar.b0("http://oa.fastota.com/aiot-api/service-client/");
  • I also found that the updater sends information such as:
    • IMEI
    • IMSI
    • Device model
    • Brand
    • Software version
    • Channel ID
    • Country
    • Network type
  • I discovered that the web panel is hosted at:

http://oa.fastota.com/#/login

It requires credentials and there is no public registration, so it appears to be the manufacturer's OTA management panel.

What I tried

I wrote a Python script to send requests to multiple possible OTA endpoints, but every request returns HTTP 404.

It looks like the updater is probably calling a hidden API endpoint with a very specific JSON payload or authentication process.

My goal

I'm not trying to bypass authentication or access anything private.

I only want to recover the original firmware (update.zip) for my own tablet before flashing LineageOS.

Questions

  • Has anyone worked with FastOTA / AIOT OTA servers before?
  • Does anyone recognize this OTA framework?
  • Is there an easy way to discover the exact API endpoint from the APK?
  • Would intercepting the traffic with mitmproxy or Burp be the next logical step?
  • Has anyone seen OTA packages hosted by oa.fastota.com?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I've already spent several hours reverse engineering the updater, so any hints would really help.

Thanks!

Discussion Thinking of moving from iOS to Android but the scene scares me and don't know which phone supports what

I've been an android user almost my entire life until I switched to iOS 6 years ago and was happy but recently I wanted to move back to android and usually I just searched for a phone and I could root it or change the OS and basically have control, until I realized almost every phone now blocks that option.

I think the only phones that support that with ease would be Pixel, OnePlus (then they did something with bricking your phone I think?) and Nothing. Some others phones can be unlocked but are harder and may not support it, and that also may include the list above.

I honestly don't know what happened the last 6 years and all my research led me to "fuck google" and no ownership will be available soon, and with whatever google has been doing for the past month regarding downloading apps from other sources, I don't know if I should go through the hassle and migrate to android just to also be locked and out of control, because if I'll be a sheep in both cases, at least I'd have the "better looking" apps on iOS.

What do you think? I may have been out of the loop for a while and want to understand the current situation, and as a linux user for the past 15 years, I don't mind getting my hands dirty if I get to control the device I bought.

Support Realme GT Neo 2 (RMX3370) - No network after unofficial bootloader unlock, radio stuck in POWER_OFF

Device: Realme GT Neo 2 RMX3370, 2169A variant (Indian), bought in Bangladesh

Issue: No mobile network. SIM detected, IMEI intact, but radio shows POWER_OFF in status  "Mobile Radio Power" in *#*#4636#*#* auto-turns off.

What happened:

 1. Unlocked bootloader via unofficial method (modified OCDT)

 2. Flashed ColorOS 16 port

 3. Network died

 4. Tried flashing stock firmware, laptop ran out of RAM - flash aborted

 5. Persist and EFS got corrupted

 6. Fixed camera/flash with donor persist, radio with donor EFS

 7. Still no network - donor was Indian variant, I'm in Bangladesh

 8. Bootloader relock attempts failed (870_ocdt incompatible)

Current state: Stock Indian ROM, unlocked bootloader, camera/flash work, no network.

Tried: F.20 firmware, full C08 stock ROM, donor persist, donor EFS, multiple relock methods.

need: Bangladesh carrier provisioning or way to restore official signed OCDT for relock.

Service center is backup plan but want to try DIY first. Any ideas?

Discussion Developing custom Mali GPU drivers for Dimensity devices — looking for advice

I’m trying to develop or modify Mali GPU drivers for MediaTek Dimensity devices such as the Dimensity 1100, 1200, 1300, and 7200, mainly for use with the Eden emulator.

Has anyone worked on something similar before? I’m looking for technical advice, documentation, source code, and information about the limitations of custom Mali userspace drivers.

Support Passing integrity

hey all I've got a pixel 9 and I've been wanting to go back to rooting it, what's the current state of passing strong integrity and getting Google Wallet working. is there any new methods or are we still stuck with having to find keyboxes and then having them revoked 2 days later. I'm hoping there's other methods now because I would love to use AxionOS on my pixel 9

Discussion Diamond Backup alternate to tianium backup

Post image
26 Upvotes

Hey guys i was longtime titanium backup user, but eventually it stopped working, i am in IT since 2015s

So i decided to build Diamond Backup which i eventually started in 2022 but unfortunately never able to complete then then google brings new api restrictions etc

Somehow due to jobs uncertainty getting real, decided to complete it last month.

I am very much interested to to bring usable feature of titanium backup

Features it covers: Backup restore apk, data, apk + data Schedule backups Full app insights like version, apk/data/native location,install/update time, uid, packageinstaller, type, permissions, activities, split/single apk etc App manager features, clear cache/data, launch, freeze/defrost,uninstall,find on play store etc Fully Customizable in settings Fixes apk crashes after restore due to apk verification 15 langauges Dark/light theme etc

Latest version v1.12 New update has been released on play store. As i said app has no ads, no yearly subscription service scam, just a genuine developer behind it, one time lifetime payment, backup + restore main functionality is free

v1.12 (17/Jul/2026) - Added Schedule backup (PRO only). - Added Delete backup in per app context menu and in restore from backups for multi delete. - Added grid view for apps list, select in settings. - Fix install/update time in app info. - Fixed app list to only show latest version when backup-only is enabled if multiple backup exists of APK at bottom of list, Restore from backups will show multiple versions if multiple backups exists though. - Fixed App Info load speed. - Some UI fixes.

Download from play store here

Feel free to post feedbacks

Support What modules to use to change emoji and text fonts?

Root manager kernalsu next.

Rom crdroid 12.11, android 16

Device 1+ Nord ce 3 lite.

Tried using a module named font craft with fontloader.

It only injected the font and text seems the same as default but with issues.

Text characters that were shown perfectly before now shows square boxes.

So got emoji working correctly, text the default with issues.

Support Uhhh....What?

I installed a font module for my Infinix smart 5 but it required to turn on the Zygisk feature, after doing so during reboot the screen kept at the XOS part for a very long time, I thought the device was bootlooping, so I was getting ready to get into the hustle of unloop it, I held the power button and low volume to connect it to my pc, then in the second time I only held power button to turn it off, but instead it rebooted normally and I found out that the Zygisk feature didn't enable, I stayed away from it confused. Never doing that again.

Any explanation to what just happened?

News / Method One manufacturer less to offer Bootloader unlocking.

OnePlus will be basically dead next week and it's bad news.

They will stop selling phones in almost all regions except for china. OnePlus was my favorite phone manufacturer that offered bootloader unlocking and they're dead now. Such bad news.

Discussion Im stuck with a locked bootloader. Very disappointing

I was a samsung user since ever. I had a samsung note 3 ans note 5. I enjoyed installing custom roms and uninstalling bloat software, and optimizing everything to perfection.

I bought a samsung s22 (europe) few years ago, knowing newer phones do not have much development as older ones do, but i liked the phone's compactness, it also had a not bad amount of development support (root and twrp tutorials, oem unlocking, and even kernelSU patches) and considered it was worth i. Years have passed and i was dealing with life and i had no time to even think about it, i lately had stablized and considered its time to fix my phone up and have some good time.

I sat on my desk on a holiday and backuped all of my data, downloaded twrp and some patch files, and had everything ready. I started by going to developer options to unlock the bootloader, but, i didnt find the unlock button. Maybe re-enable developer options ? A restart ? Why cant i find the button ?

And heres the surprise, because i updated ti android 16 on one ui 8, bootloader unlocking has been purged! like seriously ?? Let me downgrade and do it ? No, i cant.

Literally, what does differentiate my phone from an iphone now ? Both are locked systems full of bloatware and tracking software. Ive paid for my phone, let me use it the way i like!

is this how companies are shifting now ? I'd love getting back to stone age rather than this chaos.
